In another thread there's the question how Audley Harrison will approach the fight with David Haye. My question is (and I think more relevant because Haye is the huge favorite) how will Haye approach the fight with Audley? For the ones that don't know who or what I'm talking about... This is David Haye; This content is protected And this is Audley Harrison; This content is protected They'll be fighting for this; This content is protected
Haye has to do absolutely nothing. For a washed up bum like Ruiz he didn't have to train, but for Harrison I'd go on a nice big 3 month vacation if I was him. Absolutely zero preparation necessary for Audley who in a 10 year pro career was unable to win a SINGLE fight against a ranked contender. NOT ONE! Audley will go take a dive on the first punch that lands and then collect his pay check. Millions of cheated Brit fans will rejoice instead of feeling ripped off and everyone is happy.
he is going to just be moving around throwing lazy punches, with a lot of clutch and grab tactics:think
he will keep a tight defence and try to land his left jab, right over combination. He's hit Aforce just once with this and it will be night over. I think Audley has a punchers chance, as his left his a hell of a bomb, but I can't see him being quick enough to pin Haye down. I for one will be buying the fight - should be interesting.
based on the press conference hoo haa he's planning on bumming him to death while Booth makes Audley air-tight the other end I think he goes steady for 2 rounds and then starts stepping it up before dropping the boom in 5 or 6. Afterall, he wont want to disappoint a big paying public with a one round blow out. I have however got a nasty feeling that the longer it goes, the more chance that bugger Audley gets his juices up and starts bashing back. I read in BM that Audley has convinced himself that this is not about Haye, it's about Audley, Haye is part of Audleys story. Could be corn.
Like he did against Maccarinelli, time his movements and shoot the overhand right. It'll be over in 2.
I think Haye will be a bit careful. He'll pick his spots, and when he hurts Audley, he'll let his hands go. The reason Haye will be a bit careful is because losing this fight will humiliate him. So he'll not want to get caught with anything silly.
Audley isn't a mug, even tho his career has been ****, and in the right frame of mind is no joke. If Haye lets his get comfortable and confident he might be in for a hard night's work, but Harrison can't handle being put under pressure or rattled in any way and Haye knows that, so he will come out swining and probably starch him within 3. Remember Martin Rogan beat Audley just by marching him down and outworking him crudely, Audley just couldn't handle it. If Harrison gets on his game and Haye is being lazy and not throwing enough maybe he makes an interesting fight out of, but I've seen audley wilt too many times in front of crap opposition to see that.
