The vast majority will remember him for the Klitschko fight and not bring the excitement to the Heavyweight division.

He had a good career though, a top Cruiserweight and won a belt at Heavyweight. Solid enough career, but if he had the heart and balls to continue his legacy would be much better.

Terry I feel sorry for you, but did you really expect to read only good things about him after disappointing the K2 fans, the K2 haters, the boxing newbs, the British boxing fans? Aren't you disappointed that he fights crappy against Wlad, and when everyone was expecting him to fight Vitali, Haye is like "**** me, today is my birthday, I am gonna retire lol!" ?

Don't know about history, because that's always colored by the time it's written in.

But I will remember him as a very good and powerful CW, and a bigmouth at HW who wasn't likely to deliver what he was telling everyone he was going to do but managed to dissapoint anyway.
He did well for himself, managed to edge Valuev (I didn't expect that), managed not to get KO'd by Wladimir (didn't expect that either) and made a whole lot of money on the people who believed him to be the man that brought excitement back to the HW division and the people who wanted to see his big mouth being shut.
    Come on Terry :D
You never have been very objective when it comes to Haye, and you could see this coming from a mile away.
The man promised streets of gold, and became the thing fans hate about boxing. A guy who was filling his pockets on promising to do one thing and doing the exact opposite.
He was a fine boxxer nontheless and would have gotten a lot better comments here if he didn't promise so much!
