How will I know if I'm ready to start practicing combination punches? I was just wondering because as I'm doing this on my own I don't have a trainer or person guiding me, it's all on me, but I'm stepping into my jabs, pivoting and swinging my hips into righthand shots, and I can throw slower type combinations now that are more like one punch at a time thrown but then another. My left hook is a work in progress, it's ok so far, but I have a lot of work to make it as well as my jab or right cross. So how will I know if I'm ready for combination punching and how should I go about learning these to do it the right way in the process? My guard is tighter now with the elbows in and my jab is straighter than it was, my right hand is not so much leaned as pivoted now, maybe I should show a new video sometime to see what I need to improve and do new things with.

I dont know if you can ever be ready for them...but you should practice them all the time while maintaining a tight guard

Get a boxing coach or your wasting your time. Your just teaching yourself bad habits. If your just training for fitness just guess, it doesn't matter.
