Yeh, no way does Kessler have anything like a stamina problem, the Calzaghe fight was a torrid pace for super middles and dont forget he also had Andrade bearing down on him for 12 rounds and coped fine.

Calzaghes career on paper rests alot on Kessler. IF Kessler fails and becomes Lacy pt 2 then Joe's career rests on beating 3 old fighters - Eubank, X and RJJ. The X win can be argued as a good one but controversial. The RJJ and Eubank were dominating performances due to the level they were at when he fought them. Joe needs some young guys on his record. Young, fresh champs like Lacy and Kessler.

I'm disappointed in Joe for not being the one to ruin Pavlik and take away Dawson's 0.

Then again Froch has a heavier shot than Calzaghe and that may have had a hand in slowing Taylor down as well.

Both Kessler and Taylor are a bit one dimensional, although it's a very good dimension. Solid textbook left right combinations, although Kessler is a straighter puncher whereas Taylor throws wider swinging right hands. Taylor throws equilibrium shots and maybe Froch would prefer the ones that Kessler throws - that land square on the chin.

I still think Froch will look at Kessler and see similarities between him and Taylor in terms of their style and tendency to make statements with their punches and not be so proficient at 'free styling'. By that I mean throwing looping, single shots off the hips, shots that bamboozle fighters.

I think Kessler will have trouble late on when Froch starts laying on some unconventional heat and Kessler will have that concerned look on his face like he did in the latter part of the fight with Calzaghe.
