I've already seen that footage. It's one of the primary reasons I pointed out in my first post that Tszyu was a better amateur than a pro. He was a very skilled boxer-puncher as an amateur, who devolved into more of a stalking power puncher as his pro career progressed. Very little versatility as a pro. Effective, but below the status of the ATG's IMO.
So it isn't just Mayweather who "ducked" Tszyu? It's also a bunch of fighters who broke into serious contention after his last fight at a weight class that he never even fought in? :rofl
Benitez would've handily beaten Tszyu IMO. If he was able to handle Hearn's firepower at JMW, he'd easily handle Tszyu's at 140, given his lesser power and variety. He handled Cervantes (a better fighter than Tszyu IMO) at just 17 years of age. Tszyu's lack of versatility would allow Benitez to time and counters his shots all night long.
I will remember him as an all-time great. Not really sure why he quit against Hatton, but oh well. As far as he making Judah do the chicken dance - that's something he blessed us with. Never fails to make me laugh.
Tszyu will go down in history as one of my all time favs, that's for sure. That right hand of his was lethal. He sure made Zab's loud mouth STFU when he got KTFO!!!! I loved how Zab's melon hit the canvas before staggering up like a drunk and giving us the oh so famous chicken dance.
He was inactive offensively because Hearns's ranginess and offensive arsenal made it very difficult for him to get off. Tszyu doesn't hold these advantages, and his much more predictable style would be perfect for a master counter-puncher like Benitez. I also had him taking 3 or 4 rounds off Hearns in a clear Hearns win, though a very competitive and highly skilled technical affair.
He wouldn't need to, he could counter the majority of Tszyu's big shots and score effective, clean blows while Tszyu for the most part hit air. A higher workrate won't get you the decision if that's the nature of the fight.
