    Great response Pea.

He probably loves Mundine and Dib too.

I actually like Tszyu. But, if Ricky beats Paulie, I might just have to say even he has a better resume at 140 than Tszyu tbh. I'm not even sure how a 'Prime' Tszyu would fare with Hatton, as, as Pea and many others have mentioned, pressure fighters Tszyu did not do well with.

Chavez would've stopped him, and Ortiz/Pyor/Benitez any great 140lber would beat him.

Can't believe the argument started with Pea's comment about Benitez, one of the sure-fire best at the weight (world champion at 17?!?!?!?!?) He would frustrate and tszyu and I'm not sure if he wouldn't have sparked him too.

ATG is often a load of crap, Kostya is clearly not an ATG but he is the sort of fighter that could beat an ATG..he is a dangerous weapon with styalistic vulnerabilities.

I agree with you. I think his stylistic disadvantage comes against physical pressure fighters with great chins, but I also think he's absolute kryptonite against speed and timing based boxers because he's got great, accurate 1 punch power, exceptional timing, and was an expert at cutting the ring off. He's a nightmare of a matchup for alot of fighters and probably one of those guys whose resume doesn't quite match the talent, in part due to injuries on his behalf.

For a good example of how Tszyu can make very good fighters look like complete donkeys, watch Tszyu V Hurtado (who at that time had only one loss to pernell whitaker)...Hurtado looked like he wanted to crawl into a hole and hide.

Good, exciting performance by Tszyu but Hurtado's chin is extremely average. That one loss to the lighthitting and not exactly prime Sweet Pea was a very brutal KO.
    Much like all Hurtado's losses.

Plus Kostya showed plenty of flaws in that fight getting dropped twice.

If your such the expert you would know Tszyu's style no matter if Chavez was in his Prime or Not was perfect to defeat Chavez.

    You are an idiot.

How many fighters you know of name them if im right took on a fighter like Juan LaPorte who 3 fights before the Tszyu bout lost a close Decision to the Great Azumah Nelson.

It wasnt like Juan fought Azumah 10 fights and 6 years earlier.

How many fighters fought the same level of compitiion to Tszyu there whole career.

    None.

    Not One.

If you want to get techniqual here you go you so called EXPERT.

The wealth of knowledge that is Sweet Pea.

And i dont want to hear but he never faced anyone because the names Tszyu faced during his whole career are far superior to most fighters.

Pryor had 13 better opponents than Tszyu and Pryor had 6 more fights now ive so that meant Tszyu faced better opponents 27 times.

So you said he never faced anyone he faced tougher fights way more times than Pryor did and Pryor fought every fight in his home country.

Now i know head to head means more but for those who say Tszyu did nothing name me one Great fighter that in his 4th Pro fight fought a former Belt holder.

I have looked long and hard and cant find one.

    Tszyu is it.

Pryor is renowned for his wins over Arguello, more than anything else - a blown up Featherweight. Personally, I think Tszyu obliterates Arguello. But that is not to say that Tszyu beats Pryor either, or Chavez - hell, even Gatti might give Tzsyu trouble. On the other side of the coin, I back Tszyu to dominate Sweet Pea, and I put him at 50-50 against Mayweather. There is nobody in the history of 140 that I dont give Tszyu at least a 30% chance of beating.

Arguello was not completely out of his depth at 140. He caught Pryor with punches throughout the fight that I think would've floored Tszyu. Arguello had a very good chin, and whilst it's not completely out of the question that Tszyu could K.O him, hanging with an apparantly doped-up Aaron Pryor for 14 rounds and getting stopped on his feet makes me think he could handle Tszyu.

But again, look at the man in my avatar; I'm a little bit biased.

I would like to see how others think Arguello-Tszyu at 140 would pan out.

And Pryor was also the first man to stop Cervantes for like....11 years?!?!!? And in four rounds too.

So he's not JUST known for beating Arguello. I would've given you more respected if you'd said 'a battleworn Arguello', but given his frame I don't think you could call him blown up at 140. Watch the two fights; It's the same Arguello we know and love, his power is clearly still there, Pryor is just too damn mean.

I guess Arguello was a blown-up LW as well, which is how he handled Ray Mancini so well, who himself is a well-renowned 'natural' LW?

Arguello proved his body fit well into the higher weights. Much like Pac has today.

I think 140 was pushing his limits but he proved at lightweight he was still truly worldclass and this carried into his fights with Pryor.

I dont think there is a fighter in history from 126-140 who "obliterates" a fighter like Arguello.
