Very true. That's a mythical matchup I HAVEN'T seen before; Arguello vs. Pac.

I'd say Alexis wins at any weight, but again, I'm biased lol

The problem i have they think im just some nuthugging Tszyu fan. Which in a way i am.

But if Pryor is a All Time Great because he beat 2 fighters that were decent and Tszyu is only a Good fighter becuase his best win was a 2 round blowout of Judah.

Tell me this why do people forget his master class perfomances against fighters like Gonzalez,Hurtado,Ruelas,Mitchell,Mayweather,Pineda and of course a Old Chavez which is what you could call Cervantes.

Yet Hurtado,Gonzalez,Ruelas and Mayweather would beat the **** out 98% of Pryors other compitition. Sorry but its the truth.

About from Cervantes (who was Old) and Arguello Pryor beat lesser opponents than Tszyu yet Tszyu is the one who isnt great.

Tszyu had more title fights he and he unified the division.

Pryor had 8 title fights all in the USA.
Tszyu had 18 title fights 15 overseas.

Any other stats you need between these two guys.

How about the total win loss ratio

Now this is the best stat you will see.

    Kostya Tszyu Opponents
    Overall
    Wins
    1134
    Loses
    113
    Draws
    28

    Aaron Pryors Opponents
    Overall
    Wins
    946
    Loses
    433
    Draws
    49

Now Pryor had a 6 more Pro Fights yet the opponents he faced still didnt have more wins than Tszyu

And there Loses were 4 times the amount of Tszyu's Opponents.

Now if you want to see the big picture this is it in a nutshell.

the only trouble Gatti would give Tszyu is stepping over his unconscious body on the way to a neutral corner in the first round. You have just exposed yourself as a moron.

It doesnt matter what if some stats here are of boxrec or not Whatarock.

My point is apart from Cervantes and Arguello who were Pryor's best two opponents.
I can name 7 fighters that Tszyu beat that would beat every other Pryor opponent.

Chavez,Hurtado,Ruelas,Gonzalez,Judah,Mayweather,Mitchell would all beat every other Pryor opponent.

Chavez is the only one that would beat Cervantes and Arguello.

Pryor other best opponents were only Hinton,Kim and Blackmoore the rest were very poor.

Without Pryor's cocaine-fueled, cheating first win over an out of his weight and past his prime Arguello, nobody would be talking about him. He's the type of fighter that your lower class boxing fans love, the kind you can see fighting outside a nightclub somewhere.

Kostya was one of the greatest amateurs of all time, he handled Vernon Forrest like a child, and was fighting excellent fighters from the beginning of his career to the end. Awesome skills, tremendous power, great finisher. One loss to Phillips, who was a very good fighter himself, doesn't invalidate his entire career.

I'm sure people would say that about Phillips and Hatton if what happened didn't happen. Your opinion means nothing to me.

I believe that Arguello was comfortable at 140 as well, but from what I have seen you need a very specific set of qualaties to beat Tszyu and it involves being able to match him for strength which I dont think Arguello would.

Tszyu is without doubt in the top 3 Junior Welters of all time.

He was my favourite fighter for many years.

I'll remember him as an awesome boxer puncher who went out with more dignity and class with his post fight speech in Manchester than many fighters who will be rated higher all time.

His balls were slightly bigger than his good boxing sense which led to his defeats . Against Vince Philips he tried to go punch for punch with the bigger man and he lost. Ricky Hatton simply out-toughed him again against a bigger man .

If Kostya had used his boxing skills more rather than his toughness then he may have won against Vince Philips . Hatton I think would beat Kostya everytime they met , he was younger , slightly bigger and just more durable.

Overall he was a good champion displaying good physical and mental toughness usually breaking his opponent down from an accumulation of accurate punches, pressure and a killer instinct.
