How come you the socalled expert dont go in any of the Boxing Tipping Comps. I have an opinion and i go alright and at least i put a point out there. The thing ive always wondered is that if you are such the expert and think i make useless points why am i the one that has won boxing tipping comps. Also why im i the one that won the College Tipping Comp on ESB forum against all the Yanks. Why am i leading my Premier League Tipping Comp for soccer. Coming second in the Boxing tipping Comp in the Aussie forum. On Kirks Boxing tipping comp is the best placed Porspect having missed the first two months of tipping. Yet you never enter any tipping comp yet think your a wealth of knowledge on this board. Im sick of people and fowum dicks like yourself. Ready to have a opinion yet to scared to see how good you are with them. Your what i call a Arm Chair expert probably never played sport in your life. Id love nothing more than to go head to head with you in a tipping comp beause i think you would be a Epic Fail kind of guy. I have nothing else to say when you put yourself out there and start making picks thats when i might think you are worthy of listening to. What ****'s me off more is that people think what you say is actually decent when you know **** all. ESB fans that now listen to this so called expert make me sick. They cant make there own mind up they follow people like you because they know nothing. Its sad and sad for this site.
This is actually a perfect analysis. Couldn't have said it better. He doesnt have that part of the brain that advises to take a round off. Was well ahead on the cards against phillips but chose to slug with him even though he was tired. Could've just coasted to a victory. Worst fight plan in history against Hatton. But no Hatton wouldnt have beaten a younger, fitter Tszyu. Probably not even the older Tszyu out of Manchester.
Everyone is entitled to a opinion and when Sweet Pea you diss a fighter everytime like Tszyu it makes me sick. I dont see you in the (Is Calzaghe a ATG Threads) I dont see you in the (Is Lennox Lewis a ATG threads) Im starting to get pissed off with you and your negativity towards Tszyu. You dont see me constantly bringing down a Drug ****ing Loser Like Whitaker when you have a father type figure like Tszyu. A gentlemen of the sport. I could have started many threads like Whitaker nothing more than a Coke Head. A Crack ***** with a Pair of Gloves. If your so called Legend is a ATG great of the sport with what he did. Why the **** is Kostya Tszyu not a ATG. He did more for the sport than Pernell. And if you want to argue it i thinkthe whole of Russia and Australia will agree with me. Theres more following the sport because of Tszyu than Whitaker. Just because Sweet Peas resume is better doesnt mean he did more for the sport. How many Russian fighters do you see today because of Tszyu. How many Coke heads fighters do you see today because of Whitaker. I think this is a valid point. I want to see your argument for this one.
Useless. Ok. You stick to making your analysis. But yet dont pick winners against any real comp. Ill just see you for what you are. A guy that has opinion that is really mute. Did you see the slickster Mijares take Darchinyan to town. If im making useles points why wont you admit that sometimes you are wrong. You were wrong about Mijares and you are wrong about Tszyu.
:rofl Alright man. You act like I have it out for Tszyu. The only posts I ever see you make are in these threads in response to something slightly negative I have to say about him. I don't dislike the guy at all, I just happen to think he gets generally overrated, such as in this thread when he's being compared to Duran and favored over better fighters IMO. Too many of those points were too laughable to respond to however. The whole of Russia and Australia would disagree with me? Hmmm, I wonder why that would be?
Tszyu is one of those boxers that resume did not do him any justice. He had all the skills of an ATG and should be ranked highly in a head-to-head matchups, even against the greats. Its common knowledge amongst Tszyu fans that his loss to Phillips was when he fell in love with his power and became slack in training...a tough lesson to learn, but he showed his mental toughness by coming back to unify the division and remain undefeated until his last fight against Hatton. I fear ignorant boxing fans will forget him because of his weak resume and losses, but he was respected by fans, writers and fellow boxers because of his tremendous ability and skills. Just know that an in form Tszyu just needed a great opponent to become great...its unfortunate he didn't get that.
When have I ever claimed I am always right? Nobody can be constantly correct on fantasy matchups because there are simply too many variables involved, especially with fighters who have untested attributes. Mijares's mental strength and ring sense was tested and he failed, which I didn't expect. His skills have been proven however, and I do feel he can bounce back. People probably felt the same way about Tszyu after his loss to Phillips as the majority of them feel about Mijares now. Nobody knows what the future holds, however.
Well ok i understand but my whole point if you didnt read. Was that if Tszyu is Overated (A Boxing Term That i ****ing Hate) The Pryor is more Overated than Tszyu. I even put the stats up there to show it. And my point was that if Pryor is a ATG which many believe he is but yet his resume is worse than Tszyu's why is Tszyu not a ATG and according to you overated (Which is the worst boxing term Used). Thats why im getting pissed. You think i make useless points but my whole point was around these stats. Ill make another point that will put more perspective on it. Title fights Pryor had 8 in the USA Tszyu out of 18 title fights 15 were not in Australia. It would be like saying to the Yankees how about instead of you playing 81 Home games a year you only get 20 how many titles do you think the Yankees would win. Or if Manchester United played instead of 19 HOme Games a Year at Old Trafford will let you play say 8 Home Games how many titles would they win. Am i making sense to anyone does anyone see what Tszyu did or am i just making more useless points according to you.
When you take into account that my entire argument from the beginning was not to do with Tszyu's accomplishments, but rather his ability, than it is pretty useless for you to have typed all of that out. Pryor is generally rated as highly as he is based on ability. He dominated everyone in his prime and was a whirl-wind whom noone had an answer for. He was also untested compared to the real ATG's in the grand scheme of things. Pryor does have a tendancy to get overrated based on his lack of a full career and his inability to live up to his promise due to drugs. I think Tszyu had a fine career, about as good as he could've had. I just don't rate him as highly in a head to head sense as others. I see him as a fighter who generally deteriorated as his career progressed. In that I mean he was a fantastic amateur, one of the best of all time. Terrific boxer-puncher in his amateur and early days as a pro. As his career progressed however, he slowly devolved into more of a stalking power puncher with much less variety in his game. In short, he fell in love with his power. Still a very effective fighter, but I could show you clips of an amateur Tszyu where he impresses me more than in his supposed "prime years" as a pro.
I totally agree with how you put that. Johnny Lewis changed him. You see it more and more like i remember watching Tszyu against Laporte. Boxing Lesson. Same with the Bramble fight. And Mayweather. But it was after the Rodriguez fight he started to use his right more and more. With just a 1-2 combination. Bang Bang. I agree the Aussie changed him but thats what i love about him also. You watch him early on and in every word of the sense he was a boxer the purist of the kind. Then towards the end he was a demolition man with a huge right hand. Thats what made him unique to me. Because you see so many fighters that could never make that transition and Tszyu he made it. And us the fans loved him for it.
A FADED Tszyu, and imho if that fight is held in the US Kostya wins it. No disrespect to Hatton, but at his very best he's two levels below prime Kostya.
I know Hatton is not as good a boxer as Tszyu but in the ring it is not always the best boxer who wins but the more durable fighter who wins. There are many examples of this , Cotto-Margarito comes to mind. Make no mistake I always looked forward to a Tszyu fight , he always put forth a strong effort in a fan pleasing manner. He is not top three all time at 140 , probably top ten . He really didn't have a lot of fights and his style was not conducive to longevity. Hatton retired him and will have to be rated above him in the all time 140 # list.
