How will LHW Version of Michael Spinks fare today against the 168-175 Boys

  1. How will LHW Spinks fare today?
He can easily make 168, so will probably compete in two divisions.

How will he do against today's top 10 at SMW and LHW?

    Ward-Dawson-Froch-Kessler-Bute-Old Hopkins-Cloud-Pascal-Dirrell Brothers etc

    Toughest test is Ward.

    Even then he sweeps up.

He'd absolutely ruin everyone below heavy.

EDIT: And even then he'd beat just about every fighter of the last 5-6 years not named Klitschko.

Ward would be the toughest fight but Spinks would beat everyone

I see no reason to favour any of those fighters over Spinks. In fact, I could only really see Ward seeing the distance, and even that's doubtful. Spinks was an absolute nightmare to have to fight. 6'2, huge frame, awkward style, great jab, and two fisted one-punch knockout power. Goodluck.

He gets so badly underrated/overlooked these days too. Such a shame because they guy was seriously good.

The question is would Spinks vs Froch make for the most god damn awkward and ugly looking style matchup ever witnessed inside the ring? It would look like two epileptics throwing punches at eachother while having seizures.

On paper Ward could give him big trouble...Quick feet and hands, can crowd effectively.

Davis nearly beat him..A good D and the balls stand in the killzone to land his own shots nearly got him there.

I wouldn't side with Ward to be honest..To conservative and not enough of a punch.

Spinks would beat everyone, I think.

He was undefeated at lightheavy for a reason. He was a real big puncher at 175, he was quick, extremely awkward, punched at ridiculous angles, and knew how to work his jab and to fight to keep his 6'3 height to his maximum advantage.

If Taylor had him down and shaken up then I see no reason why a guy like Spinks wouldn't finish the job.

Bigger, better and a faaaar harder puncher than JT.
