I'd argue that cheating on your wife will hurt her more than hitting her, in most cases.

He is going to have to concentrate on beating Pac to the spot before getting his punches off, if he does not cut the ring off sufficiently and is preoccupied with landing before cutting the ring off, he wont get off consistently, which is what he needs to do given that he is not a particularly big puncher, well, he does not have enough punch power to turn a fight on its head imo.

He should also try to jab his way in instead of walking straight in, that way he can stabilize Manny before he lets his combination's go, if he tries to come in straight on the line, and walk in, he will make it harder for himself to pin Manny down and get off.

Margarito might bend in a bit too much, but he is longer, he should take advantage of that by throwing the jab, Manny has no glove defense to protect against the jab imo, all he does is slip or move back, if he moves back away from it, that is exactly why Margarito should throw it, that way he might be able to trap him on the ropes and go to work.

If Margarito wins, it'll be through his absolutely murderous uppercuts. Manny has a tendency to get hit by those, so hopefully Freddie will be smart and tell Manny to never EVER lean agains the ropes the way he did against Cotto and will keep him moving so Margo can't even land cleanly.

The Speed of Manny vs the lack of defense plus rustiness and lack of a fight in a good while will make this a drubbing in the first order.

Manny's punches will get in between the loping punches of Margarito's and because of the power the Manny has, Margarito's chin will not save him.

    Manny in 8 if that.

Margarito prior to the Mosely fight had all kinds of backers and supporters since that loss he has been out what about a year? which is what a lot of fighters do anyway, its at 157 so Margo doesnt have to sweat down and supposedly will magnify whatever he brings to the table, so we have a Margarito not too far removed from the pre-level Margo everyone here loved so much. I must believe the reason Pac is so favored has more to do with how good Pac is.

  8. Margarito will beat Pacquiao exactly the same way as Clottey did.

    Oh wait...

Just as Mosley, Manny is so used with these mexican fighters coming forward non-stop, he not only fought them but he's sparred them for years and years now and it would surprise me if Margarito got to him even a little bit.

Manny will start with the body and keep tagging Margarito with right hooks all night long, Manny should be able to stop Margarito. It's a good win regardless, depending on how much Margarito has left, it either goes 10 rounds with Margaritos career ending in a vicious prolonged beatdown, or Mosley already accomplished that and Manny stops him in 3 rounds.

I am wondering how Pacquiao is going to beat Margarito... I beleive that Roach sees him as a shot fighter, in Margaritos last fight, he was fighting a guy trained by Eric Brown who also works at Wild Card, I think that was Roachs way of testing what Margarito had left.... Obviously he feels that the Mosley fight finished him off which is why we have this fight IMO.

Sure they would rather have the Mayweather fight, but Floyd doesnt have the urge to fight him yet... perhaps when Manny is a proven shot fighter Floyd will step up.

However look at Margaritos recent losses, those losses there had come from guys who are bigger than Manny himself. and all of those guys were able to push back Margarito and make it a rough fight, I dont think Manny can do that and stay effective through a full 12 rounds he will fight this fight just as he did the Clottey fight IMO that is what his game plan will be.

However those other guys such as Mosley, Williams and Santos all had attributes they could work off two had south paw styles with reach while Mosley was able to push Margarito back and step around and catch Tony while Tony would follow him like a dumbass...

I beleive Margarito thought Shane was finished, he beleived just as all of us did that Mosley was a shot fighter and obviously he trained as such...
This is a major fight that can re invent his career... IMO this fight will be much like the Margarito Cotto fight, in which Manny will attempt to box and as he did with Clottey while Margarito will pressure as he did with Cotto.

Now if Manny makes the mistake of taking Margarito to the ropes that will be a huge mistake, the ropes is no place to be against a fighter like Margarito he will have to use the center of the ring...

To be honest, I give Margarito a chance a real chance in this fight, But there are too many indicators that say Margarito is a finished fighter, he is going to have to answer alot of questions not for the fans but for himself early in the fight the last big fight he was in he was knocked out... and that is going to be tuff to over come.....

I see a good fight I dont think its a blow out.... my question here is being that its for the 154 pound WBC title, dont the rules state you must use 10 ounce gloves? did they agree to 8 ounce? and if not the bigger gloves will damper Mannys speed and power and so will the extra couple of pounds....

10 oz for JrMW and above.

Hopefully, Manny will be effective with 10oz gloves on. Margo has fought and won 154 lb bouts, Manny has been an 8oz fighter his whole career. I hope his cletoreys won't be too big on him that he can't hurt Margarito.

Time will tell that extra two ounces per hand can make a difference and likely this will be the weight that Floyd would want to fight him at if it proves to make a difference....

Margarito is slow of hand and foot, has an OK defence and goes to the body well. Against Mannny he cannot head hunt, and has to go to the body early. This is not an easy fight for manny and he must again be at his best.

But I have to go back to the Oscar fight as the blueprint to beat Margarito, I think he has more left in the tank the De la Hoya and loses widely on points.
