This is not a prediction thread or how the fight will go or who is best etc...

Floyd is the master of hitting and not being hit, but in his last fight JMM got thru with a few shots, my question is, how will floyd react when pac lands those bombs. We know about his skills, but what about his heart/desire. Will he throw caution to the wind if his shoulder roll and counter punches dont work?

    Thoughts?

Floyd's so smart and so adaptable, but he tends to just cover up if someone starts unloading. He looks for gaps while someone's throwing, then he takes advantage of them.

If he gets stung, he'll get on his toes and make Manny miss.

When Judah hurt Mayweather, he covered up on the ropes. I should imagine he'd do the same against Pac.

I think he'll smile uncomfortably and cover up on the ropes.

thanks for posts guys however if he rfuns he cannot win rounds can he? im totally against dodgy judges etc but i find it hard to give mayweather the win on points if pac chased him all night and hit him a couple of time. Floyds '0' will go if he resorts to running imo, he may have to get his hands dirty...

He has the lateral movement to get out of harms way but can he stop from constantly posing on the ropes? Can he maintain a workrate that will see him win a decision against the popular buzzsaw? The key is for Floyd to throw his fantastic jab to the pit of Pacs stomach, stay off the ropes and keep it at ring centre with Pac out of range and hitting him with sharp right hands and left hooks when he tries to close the gap with his quick feet.

Do I think Floyd will win? No. Pacmans blurringly fast combinations, solid shots, decent punch resistance and free-flowing Jazzy style will see him win on points in a close fight. Neither man seriously hurt, more cagey moments akin to Marquez 2, Floyds superiority to JMM (though Marquez has more balls) negate Pacs usual destructive accuracy. But Floyd has too many bad habits to go in with an offensive whirlwind like Pac.

The fact that he fought Castillo with a torn rotator cuff and damaged his hands damaged against Hernandez and fought on to win tells us there is nothing wrong with his heart.

If he's hurt he just covers up,tucks chin down and then looks to see out the attack and normally likes to duck low and be side on in the pocket and he's good at using his forearms to blind his opponent as they try attack. He will use these skills and tricks to see out the storm imo.

Floyd's to smart to trade so he won't play into his hands he will just see out the attack and go back to boxing. When Floyd has come out of his comfort zone and attacked with purpose he's an animal. Lands pretty much at will...each punch with power and precision. The reason he doesn't normally throw caution to the wind is because he doesn't have to and he has bad hands so he just uses them to pot shot and he's does it well. I don't question Floyd's heart and lets face it...the reason people ask this question is because he rarely has to rely on it which says alot about him as a boxer.

Is this a joke? Like Judah, Castillo, Corely and others haven't landed numerous punches on him. Corely hurt him with a big right hook, he took it and came back incredibly strong. Castillo in the first fight ****ed him up. Broke two of his ribs and landed massive punches to the head. Castillo, Judah and Corely are good punchers.

The hype has already started on this match-up, some newspapers are comparing it to Ali v Frazier, some are comparing it to Duran v Leonard .. In reality this will be an absolutely one-sided affair, Manny Pac is a brilliant fighter, i've always backed against him because for some emotional reason i want him to lose and get beaten up badly, not because i dislike him, i think he's brilliant but i've never gotten over the fact that he was the guy that destroyed my favourite fighter, Erik Morales .. For me he got to Morales when Erik was on the slide, and lets not forget Morales did an absolute number on Pac .... But forgetting my own personal, ridiculous problems with Pac, if he goes in against Floyd, he's going in against a true artist, not just a boxer, Floyd has every shot in the book, he controls fights, he's a brilliant counter puncher and a brilliant defensive fighter .. Pac has zero chance in this fight, he'd have zero chance against Leonard, zero chance against Hearns, zero chance against Duran and zero chance against Benitez, to be honest i wouldnt give him much of a chance against Chavez or Whitaker ........ Modern day hype is absolutely unbelieveable to an extent were fighters of the past who are actually a million times better than modern day fighters are considered bums .. Its ridiculous, Comparing Mayweather to Leonard is a joke, comparing Pac to Duran is a joke, and anybody who is buying into this hype needs to get a boxing education ..
