Just thinking about what people would think and how they would react:think
As we all know the opposite is just as possible and to some is more probable, however we wont know till fight nite.
I'm of the opinion that Roy is a much tougher challenge than Bernard and maybe even abit more of a challenge than Kessler was.
Also I'm of the opinion that Bernard will be much easier of a challenge for Pavlik than he was for Joe due to the simple fact that Joe needs to get close to be effective(hence all the horrible clinching by Bernard) as oppossed to Pavlik being able to utilize his length which also happens to be where Pavlik is most powerful

Anyhow your thoughts on the above outcome I've put forth:think

Please no hating, no bashing, just your educated and unbiased feelings on Joe losing and Kelly winning

Joe would retire. If he can't beat this Jones he is ****ed anyway. And I don't think that Jones would grant a re-match even if Calzaghe wanted one, least of all in Cardiff.

I'm a Hopkins man, but for the good of the division I would like Pavlik to win, that would be ideal.

If Calzaghe loses to Jones at this point it would have a MASSIVE impact on his legacy. It would also give Jones some serious respect points and serious validity to the weight drain claims after his move back down from HW.

Pavlik, well, i'd be pretty impressed, another very solid win on his resume. Wouldn't do anything to Bhops except usher him into retirement.

But the money involved in a rematch would make Fort Knox look like a dirty whorehouse:deal

I haven't thought of it that way yet, but you are definitely right about that. I've said before that it could work as a measuring stick for a Pavlik - Calzaghe fight (assuming Joe can't get rid of the addiction that is boxing, and assuming he beats Jones).

This is pointless as there's no way Calzaghe will lose, but if this scenario did play out I would be disappointed as I think Calzaghe v Pavlik would be a great fight and I really want it to happen.

There would be a shitload of money in a fight with Pavlik, Hopkins or Klitschko too though. I just don't see Jones repeating himself with a handful of fights left him.

Honestly depending on how the fight plays out I could see a loss to RJJ as a positive impact, especially if he vindicates himself in a rematch, great fighters lose, infact some if not most of the best ATGs have lost, they're measured by how well they deal and come back from it:yep

Unless he has clearly gotten old since his last fight, i don't really agree with that.

I'm actually picking Roy Jones in this fight, and for sure I'm picking Kelly. If Jones soundly defeats Calzaghe it might suggest that stiffer competition over the years might've tarnished Joe's undefeated record. BHops will ***** about another fight being stolen from him, look for a fight, NOT find a fight, and retire.

My point is Mcgrain who could JONES fight for that kind of money and not have to worry about getting KTFO?? Can't think of one.:think Which is why in my opinion if Roy beats Joe he would happily give him a rematch, the gate for the fight in the UK would probably see 80,000 at least. That could be the biggest fight in UK history, easily ousting any Hatton fight or Joes previous fights
