With footwork and positioning bahaha there is more to the shoulder roll than rolling the shoulder. AJ can't learn that in 10 lifetimes nevermind a few months. What is the shoulder roll protecting him from? Usyks jab? nah. he'll fall into a left hand and meet his dear friend mr.canvas.
AJ can maybe shoulder roll himself through the ropes at out of the ring. More plausible than him beating Usyk actually.
Joshua is stiffer than Frankenstein's monster......I think Usyk can adjust easily using footwork and positioning. As I've said from the begining AJ's problem is a mental one unless he overcomes the lack of confidence that has been visible for some time then he will get the same result.
Aww man I hope that’s not the tactic. AJs gonna look worse than Broner trying the shoulder roll against Maidana and Berto trying against Robert Garcia..
Joshua couldn't roll a blunt. So he is going to double down on being a scientific boxer? Good luck AJ. You best bet would be learn to fight a southpaw, but it wouldn't work anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter.
Trying to outbox Usyk is 100% route to defeat. Nothing wrong in learning new stuff to put in your tool kit, but depending on this for the win is not going to work. AJ is a big ol unit and packs a solid punch, those are the only tools he brings that match or beat Usyks tools, so use them, he might still lose but at least lose on his own terms not boxing the master boxer.
Oh god. AJ is going to have even more going through his brain in the rematch- which all points to vacant faced AJ copping another hiding. If anything he needs to simplify.
He's not learning anything he'll remember in a few months. It takes much longer to establish that muscle memory.
Some people think the shoulder roll is some magic technique, when in fact it's just another defence method that stands and falls by implementation and physical attributes. Joshua is going to end up shoulderrolling over the canvas if he doesn't come up with a significantly different gameplan as in fight 1.
