i still believe wlads conditioning is not that great. when is the last time he had a fight that went the whole twelve rounds? i think if a boxer can find a way to make it to the middle and later rounds wlad will be easy pickings and would be in serious danger of being knocked out.
lol probably not. although you never know. but out of the 3 other heavyweight champions i think he has the best shot. i think he will pull a UD out of the Chagaev fight. and i just think he is a better fighter than oleg maskaev.
I think any fighter that has a chin and the ability to take Wlad to war can potentially beat him, since he tends to mentally fall apart under heavy fire. The problem is can you take what's going to be coming back at you? Peter had the chin, but not the skill to draw Wlad into a real fight. I think Wlad's two weaknesses are stamina and mental strength. Skill wise, I put him above all the contenders now, and he packs the power to change gameplans quickly. As incomplete as I think Wlad is, I don't think the division is deep enough to provide a lot of threats to him.
The part I bolded out is the most important aspect to overcoming Wlad. It's easy to say "take his shots and keep hitting him", but there aren't many fighters tough enough to take those shots. If you look at the fighter WK's evolved in to, the only way to beat him now is to absorb a tremendous amount of punishment and hope that he'll tire out or that he'll slip so you can land something huge- and you'd better have the power left and the accuracy to hit him flush. Although the haters will typically define him by the Sanders blowout, that strategy isn't going to beat him now. Still, Brewster's got no shortage of heart, chin, toughness, and power- which is why it should be a hell of a fight coming up.
