How would a 26 year old Oscar de la Hoya do today at the welterweight division?

What kind of crack are you on?

Prime Oscar would beat Floyd, and most likely a prime Pacquiao. This version of Pacquiao gets mauled and retired.

The last 4 rounds, sure he was. But he still should have won that fight.

I had beating Quartey by winning the last round. He should have lost against Sturm though.

    Prime oscar cleans up

A shot oscar went life and death with Floyd

And you can't compare the oscar who fought manny to the prime version at all

I agree with this but still think Pac gives a prime Oscar fits. Whitaker was much better than Manny defensively, but im not so sure he was that much fastr and certainly didnt hit as hard. I think fast hands and fast feet out of the southpaw stance would always trouble Oscar. Just my opinion of course.

The only fighter to legitimitely defeat a prime Oscar was Mosley.

doesn't matter, you fight to win the fight and you don't leave it in the hands of the judges, at not for multiple rounds you don't. Strategically it was a horrendous decision.

Im not convinced that was legit given Shane was probably on the juice. But it was a win and in the books.

    I agree.

    IMO

26 years old DLH was so much more mobile than the version after that. He would toy with Alexander, Thurman, Maidana, Guerrero and Brook.

DLH would go war with Bradley because he had bigger punch; it would have been messy.

Khan would probably give him a lot of problems but his chin wouldn´t last Oscars left hook.

Fight with Mayweather would be very competive but he would win because of higher work rate.

I don´t know what happens with prime Pacquiao but the version of today, would loose to DLH easily.

Oscar is the only real Welter on the list. The rest are in this division because Pac and Mayweather offer the most money.
