This comparison is ridiculous as is the poll. Aoki lost badly simply because he's a one dimensional fighter. Whilst that dimension works fine in the lower leagues it absolutely doesn't work in the big leagues.
Aoki is one of the best submission grappler's in the world. But a mixed martial artist he is not.

I have a avatar of Shane Mosley because im a fan of his. That by extension does NOT mean i am a fan-boy as misconstrued by yourself. Explain this while you are at it. From my understanding, if Aoki cant get Gilbert in his guard it means Melendez is controlling the fight, i.e. fighting where he wants to. It's not up to the ref to force Gilbert to the ground, that would be real cheating. The ref stood Shinya up because the tactic of laying on your back legs akimbo is not in anyway an offensive move.

And why didnt Aoki stand there and let Gilbert punch him instead of complaining to the Ref and doing his best Benny Hill away from Gilbert? There was only one '*****' in that fight and he was the guy who can speak Spanish
