Mercer would be lucky if he took this past round 2. He’s overmatched and would be destroyed by either version of Foreman.

Mercer is criminally overrated in here. And George is still curiously underrated. A “7” chin according to somebody. I mean, that’s an utterly ridiculous comment.

Mercer would be a very live underdog, as he proved himself to be against Lewis and Holyfield.

He wpuld hang on longer and deal out more damage in the process. The corner probably stops it

Foreman wins though i wouldn't like to say how, i can't see Mercer getting stopped early & would envisage a real struggle until Foreman's power sees him prevail. Foreman in 6 but with reservation.

Mercer gets stopped on his feet, Mercer was actually an underrated boxer in terms of skill, but he didn’t have enough to stay away from Foreman, he’d get dragged into it, he’d be forced to fight, Foreman would punch around the guard of Mercer and would fit the uppercuts in, Mercer would eventually end up taking too much punishment and it gets to him.
He can’t stay away nor does he have the power/precision to keep Foreman off.

Mercer is probably stopped on his feet without being knocked down. But he may actually be ahead on the cards up until that point.

i tend to agree, as my own post indicates. Then again, he went to war with Lewis, took hellacious shots that would have stopped just about anyone, and just kept coming. And Lewis is certainly a better boxer (as in, ability to win a contest on points) than Foreman ever was. So who knows.

I think it looks a lot like Foreman-Chuvalo. Maybe lasts a round or two longer.
