How would a Prime Tommy Morrison do today?

He'd beat everyone but the Klitties

 

Adamek's a proven tough SOB though who could handle the heat Arroela brings. That was a hard-fought fight, Adamek had to use all of his savvy. Could Tommy go through one of those and come out the winner? I don't know, I wouldn't bet on it.

 

Thank god there's nobody outside of the K-Brothers is good as Bentt in today's era.

Me on the other hand, I could watch Archie Moore get knocked out by GREAT fighters all day. The Goose has nothing to be ashamed of.

 

Morrison would be solidly in the top 10 today and, at times, be top 5. Morrison had good power, great left hook, and a ton of heart but he had a weak chin, no stanima, and was pretty predictable. He was a solid contender during a deep 90's era of heavyweights and would do better today since it is a weaker time. He would clearly be the most exciting heavyweight around today.

Both Klitschkos stop him, Chambers outpoints him, Helenius beats him and Haye would probably be favored. Guys like Povetkin, Thompson, Arreola, Adamek, and Chagaev are all even type of fights-Morrsion would win a few and lose a few of those. I think a Morrison-Arreola fight could be a heavyweight classic though. I'd love to see a Morrison type of fighter around the heavyweight division today.

 

He'd lose to the Klitschko brothers and on his best night, would beat any other heavyweight out there.
