How would a win for Froch over Taylor rate?

I youre playing like that Pavlik beat Taylor but how did Pavlik do against Hopkins?

It all depends how Froch wins, if he wins!

If he gets dominated and then was to stop Taylor it doesnt mean a lot. If he dominates Taylor its about the same probably a little better. If he wins early it doesnt mean a lot because Taylor isnt a natural at the weight and Froch is a decent puncher.

Personally i see Taylor dominating him for a UD

Froch would have to be really impressive in beating Taylor for it to be on the same level as Joe's win.

Don't agree at all. Kessler has wins over 5-6 top ten ranked super middles including Mundine, Beyer, Andrade, Lucas and Siaca. Taylor does have the wins over B-Hop. However, they were close and debatable and he can't dine out on them forever, especially when he has since been brutally KO'd and beaten again by a one dimensional plodder who had proven nothing at top level. As a super middle Kessler is by some way the better scalp for mine, Taylor has proven nothing at 168.

I certainly think Calzaghe's win would be better but I can understand how this couldn't be categorically answered right now. I believe Kessler is a tremendous fighter but until he gets off arse, sorts his mess with Palle out and proves to everyone in the good ole US of A how good he really can be then you can understand how people will question his value in elite p4p terms. Bearing this in mind and the company Taylor has mixed in, then presently it's not such an easy question to answer

Jermain will emerge victorius against Froch. I wouldn't go that far in even thinking he's going to beat Jermain convincingly

Pavlik's win over Taylor at 160 > both these wins

Kessler has beaten some good/average fighters, Taylor has beaten one of the greatest fighters of all time...twice, has Kessler ever even been a P4P top 10. Yeah come unstuck against Pavlik, but Pavlik ain't no push over fighter is he.

IMHO he can't dine out on those two wins for the rest of his career. Both were controversial in any case. However, since those fights (4 years or so ago now), he has beaten a couple of junior middleweights and the shell of Jeff Lacy in between getting knocked silly by Pavlik, who isn't a pushover but is not an elite boxer either. Plus, he had close things with Spinks and Winky. Kessler has dominated everyone he's faced apart from Calzaghe and is a proven super middle which Taylor is not.

Ask yourself who would win a Kessler vs Taylor match at SMW.

I would have Kessler as a big favourite.

if you look at were both froch and calzaghe are in these fights career wise then if froch gets the win against taylor then it is a bigger win than calzaghe beating kessler

True he can't and yes they were close fight, well first one was, second I had Taylor winning. But he has also beaten some good oponents, I mean I can't understand how he didn't win the Winky fight. Kessler has dominated everyone he has faced bar Calzaghe, because thats the only fighter Kessler's fought of any real greatness. In some peoples eyes it might be close, but everyone should realise that Taylor is the better fighter and bigger name.

Two wins over Hopkins and a draw with Winky

Well what wins are Kessler dining on?

the wins taylor had against BHOP are considered controvertial other then beating a shot and weary lacy what has he done at 168 nothing, Froch win is coming against some 1 who was a hyped up product of HBO and failed to deliver and has a handful of gift decisions. Kesslers argueable the man to beat at 168 today

As of now i'd go with JC's win. But pending on how Froch were to beat Taylor (I'm picking Taylor to easily outpoint him) I might change my mind. Froch deserves huge credit for making his first defense in America against such a talented fighter. Compare that to Calzaghe yet again having homefield advantage in his win over Kessler. At the same time though, Calzaghe and Kessler are better fighters than Taylor and have been career SM's like Froch, whereas Taylor has had all of 2 fights there. One in which he showed improvements but still lost against Pavlik and in the other he dominated a more or less shot Lacy.
