Still can't believe Wilder did this! How did he not think a real person inside would get hurt? lol

AJ doesn't stand around with his defence open waiting for a comet to land like a dinosaur. He's actually a pretty good boxer and it's not going to be nearly so simple for Wilder to line up a free shot on him like he did against Breazeale. Moreover, Wilder's going to have to worry about getting tagged himself, which is much much more likely.

AJ / Wilder really cannot happen soon enough.

he would've been severely hurt. Not sure if it would've dropped him but the 35 Wilder windmills that would've come after would've probably had him in serious peril.

He wouldn't just stand there and let Wilder take a free shot. Great punch but it landed on a static target. When boxers usually plant their feet like DB, it's to throw punches not pick the spot on the canvas where they'd like to fall. People getting giddy over this now...

"I thought there would be more padding" lol. Wilder is definitely shoot first, ask questions later kind of a guy.

It definitely would have dropped AJ, but there’s no way AJ should be allowing him that shot. Look at brezeale, he just plodded up to wilder in a straight line.

Down, maybe out. He’d never get hit by that punch those circumstances though. Breazeale dropped his hand to his hip for lift hook counter after being hit by a jab which is a terrible terrible mistake that Joshua would not make.

I believe it would be ruled a technical draw and both fighters would keep their belts. I know there is a famous example from 100+ years ago where it happened in an Ad Wolgast fight.

Early. Maybe. He took big shots from Whyte, Klitschko and Povetkin. Later in the fight when his stamina is suspect? Definitely not.

I've thought about this before and the closest I can come to agreeing with you is that they chose an 80/20 opponent.
Think for a second about if you could willingly walk into that from a punches like Wilder?I say it's impossible.
