How would AJ have taken that right hand from Wilder?

Would AJ stand in the ring with his hands down and eyes closed within Wilders range?

I have seen Breazeale perform similar brain fades against Izu and Mansour and survive, but they aren’t top 10 HWs or anywhere near top 10.

    This is really basic stuff.

In the first round or the last round its simple fundamental basics and concentration that is lacking

He would go down hard. But the right uppercut from AJ that KTFOed Dillian Whyte would definitely KTFO Deontay Wilder as well.

To be fair it's a stupid question aimed at winding up Joshua fans. If Anthony Joshua had walked slowly walked straight forward onto that punch with his left hand miles from his chin and no head movement then yes he would have been floored or knocked out. If the post is all about getting AJ fans to say that Wilder with essentially a free shot could drop Joshua then there you have it (see above).

The truth however, as every AJ fan who doesn't want to give you the weird satisfaction you're craving, has said above, Wilder doesn't land that shot on AJ because he won't give him the opportunity due to far superior head movement, a much better defence and the fact that he carries more skill than DB. AJ would more than likely trouble Wilder and out class him as Fury did which wouldn't allow him to just sit unchallenged picking off power punches with little coming back. The difference however is that AJ carries the power Fury doesn't and would likely stop Wilder in the mid rounds.

If you like, we could set up a separate chat for every decent shot any British fighter has landed against a B/C level fighter and compare how Wilder would take it ... a fighter who was close to getting knocked out himself by feather fisted Fury.

Whyte's left that stopped Browne - Knocks Wilder out cold IMO
Whyte's left that stopped Chisora - Knocks Wilder out cold IMO
AJ's uppercut that landed on Klitschko - Knocks Wilder out cold IMO
Chisora's first knock down of Takam - Likely knocks Wilder down, maybe clean out IMO
Dave Allens knock out of Browne - Probably knocks Wilder out cold IMO
David Price shot on Povetkin - Rocks Wilder, if longer left of the round Price would have finished Wilder in that fight IMO

Do all you Wilder fans agree with the above? Would be great to have a separate page for all you to list the shots that could have knocked down Wilder that likely wouldn't have landed.

Wilder connects on AJ, he stops AJ it’s that simple. If AJ connects on Wilder, that’s the real question? What happens, does he survive like he did with Ortiz, does he get reckless, does he go down and not make the count???
