How would Ali from 1975 have done if he was that age now against the top 10?

Ali weighed 224.5 lbs for his fight v Lyle in `75 and looked lethargic for most of that bout, if he was at the same age and in the same shape he was for that fight now how would he fare against a top 10 heavy in today`s game?

Ali was pretty strong at that point in his career. Between October 1974 and October 1975 (12 months) he stopped George Foreman, Ron Lyle and Joe Frazier.

For most fighters, three stoppage wins like that in 12 months would make their whole career. (And he outpointed Bugner and stopped Wepner in those 12 months, too.)

So, today, that version of Ali from that year, I think would do just fine.

(He dropped off significantly in '76, but the '75 version of Ali was his last quality year.)

I don`t think he looked good in the Lyle fight until he caught a tired Lyle and displayed great hand speed and accuracy in stopping Ron, he weighed 224.5 v Lyle and it effected his foot speed, he got caught by a number of counters, I think he weighed 216 v Foreman.
