How would Ali have done if he'd tried to be a puncher?

To fight like a puncher, you don't have to wade in throwing hooks. You can actually stand straight up and throw hard shots.

Ali didn't blow Foreman out by dancing. Or jabbing. Or sticking and moving. He stood right in front of him, blocked or took Foreman's best shots, fired at Foreman and Ali was ahead on the cards against Foreman by standing right in front of him and outlanding him.

    Then he knocked him out.
