Ruiz would have batterered all the guys from the 60s and 70s. Boxing is different today. Power, speed and strength is just on a different level. Even average guys today like Whyte or Wilder would have beaten elite HWs from the 60s and 70s. Most people are just biased and too romatic if it comes to guys like Ali etc.. ...no, they wouldn't win a damn world title in 2020. They would get battered around by some lower level guys.

It's the same if you ask how would have Rod Laver done against some of the guys from today in Tennis....

Woah. Whyte & Wilder could beat the elite of the 60’s and 70’s? Sorry man but that’s probably the worst take I’ve seen since coming on here.

He’d stand a good chance against Liston but he gets pummelled by Foreman and Frazier & schooled and pummelled by Ali.

He doesn't beat any of them. Ruiz is being overrated because of one fight

Just the unpopular truth which is getting denied by all the romatntic Ali suckers out there who think prime Ali would be a champ in 2022 as well :risas3: Fury would ragdoll a guy like Ali and stop him in the first half.

Anyone here who thinks Ruiz does well against athletes conditioned for 15 rounds of war is insane

Ruiz loses to all of them. Probably gets KO'ed by Liston and Foreman as he's far too easy to hit. Frazier too may break him down, he's far too active and aggressive and would just overwhelm him. Ali probably shuts him out or close too it, it wouldn't be close.

Ruiz is getting put on a high pedestal due to one fight however look at his next one. Getting dropped by a fat, bloated waste... a shot forty year old Arreola? Right after being a world champion and that joke of a fighter drops you? Makes it go twelve rounds? Jesus.

Ruiz Jr loses to the greats who were conditioned to fight fifteen rounds if need be.
