Is Berto ready for that type of challenge?

Is Berto ready for that big of stage/spotlight/atmosphere?

Will Berto get exposed and what if anything could Mayweather possibly expose?

    Can this fight sell?

    Thoughts?

I see this going like the Judah fight, Berto has some speed so he might win the first 2 rounds but once Floyd makes the adjustment it's over for Berto he has no chance after that.

I hear Shane is gonna fight him in December, he might retire after Shane whoops that ass first. I've always said that Berto is a good young talent, but the first Top shelf fighter he faces will destroy him.

    PROS:
Berto is young and in shape
... is fast and pretty strong
... is physical and likes to get physical, he likes to hold (look how he fought Forbes)
    ... can throw volume
... fought as high as MW

    CONS:
    Berto is not experienced
    ... is a bit chinny
... tires late if he throws volume

I think Berto would lose fighting Mosley or Mayweather but he would present some good style and physical challenged to FMJr. He could make the fight very interesting even if he doesn't win.

I think that a fight between Berto and Mosley would be competetive ... I don't think that Mosley can overwhelm Berto like I thought early on and I don't think that Berto can outbox Mosley as seems to be the blueprint on beating a Mosley type of fighter.

I can see Mosley beating Berto with a knockdown or two coming mid to late rounds ... and Mosley getting a decision. Sorta like Mosley did against Collazo ... Mosley got a knockdown against Collazo and seemed to cruise to a UD ... 119-109 type scores ...

If Mosley fights and beats Berto, then that would set up a fight with Mayweather and Mosley for a late spring fight.

For the legitimized welterweight title and the WBC/WBA welterweight titles.

Won't be different than the Marquez fight, Mayweather dominates him easily.

With Mayweather rumored to fight Mosley or Pacquiao next I would say those two are FAR bigger challenges than Berto, right?

What about Cotto if he beats Pacman? I think he deserves a shot. Forget Margacheato who he loss to and Shane beat, I'm talking head to head Cotto beat Shane so how could you put Shane in there before Cotto?

Berto comes to fight and wins 3 rounds at the most he's competetive but loses clearly.

If Cotto beats Pacman, that fight will be 100x's bigger than Mayweather vs Mosley ... and that was the fight that was demanded at the time of FMJ's retirement. And the talks have died down a bit after the loss to Margarito, but since the controversay with the wraps and a new revived Cotto with a couple of wins, another championship and a possible win over boxings p4p #1 ... will bring back that buzz for a Mayweather vs Cotto fight. Check out my old thread ... Cotto will fight Mayweather ...

Thats the fight that used to be the one that was supposed to happen ... and Cotto was supposed to be that guy instead of Pacquiao ... it was he that was supposed to fight DLH ... and it was him that was supposed to be p4p #1.

Berto would get fu*ked up ala Hatton style. He has no defense and no accuracy in his punches. He head hunts and he couldn't land nothing on Urango and Forbes. He won't do squat against PBF. PBF would just let Berto run into the shots and knock him down several times before KOing him.
