I personally think even with the loss he would still go onto win it or atleast reach the final. What you all think?

    He would win it

Another thread on here is suggesting Hopkins could win it if he entered the super six.

    If Bhop wins Joe wins

well he's still looking pretty lean, says he still does some gym work and does the odd bit of boxing....is he keeping himself in shape for a reason?
this would maximise the super 6, it would become huge!!!

I think Calzaghe would win, hes shown in his career that he can adapt and beat all styles and fight in different styles

Joe would have to do something that he hasnt done before...Beat some young hungry fighters, with skills. I actaully think that Dirrell would be a nightmare for Calzaghe style wise. And Ward would be a very interesting fight. I highly doubt that Calzaghe would win this thing...Neither would Hopkins. But personally I like the current crop of fighters they seem to be interested in fighting the best fighters out there, unlike the Hopkins and Calzaghe's of the world that like to pick and choose. Hopkins wont go anywhere near Dawson.

I doubt he would win seriously. I could see Abraham KO'ing him. Ward and Dirrell giving him major fits.

i'm a calzaghe fan but i dont think he'd win it. hes getting too old for his workrate to be effective imo.

if a 30 year old calzaghe was in this tornament i think he would win it.

I was actually thinking he had put on a bit of weight when I last saw him (socceram on saturday) I think he would struggle to make 175lbs let alone 168.

In his prime he would win easy and if he could safely cut weight now he would win also.

Even in his prime, no way he would win this easily.

The last time Joe fought he weighed in at 174 1/2 pounds. Before that he weighed in at 173. After two fights at LHW and all the time off I don't think it would be a good idea for Calzaghe to try to make 168.

If he could cut the weight, he'd have tough fights with Dirrell and AA but I'd still pick him to win.
