I think Joe eventually gets KO'd after putting on a few very impressive rounds. Joe could out box Ruiz, but I think the size would be too much.

Joe has an A grade chin where as Jones doesnt have one at all. Im sure if Jones can take Ruiz's punches so can Joe.

Ruiz by KO 1, the only reason Ruiz has last has been b/c he was robbed, such as when he was dominated Tua only to be robbed by the referee. The Bearded Warrior KO1

I wasn't talking about who had the better chin....In RJJ Hay Day you could barely lay a hand on him and Ruiz never touched Roy Cleanly.....Joe gets hit...he is elusive but he squares up all the time and he may have a better beard, but that's not the point.....Can joe take a HW punch, that's the question. Roy was very fast, slick and moved well. Joe is fast and slick but Jones was on anther level with his reflexes and swiftness. Jones couldn't take a flush shot from Ruiz back then nor could he now. Joe is no exception.

As I stated.....it's not about chins or who's is better. A MW can't take a True HW's punch flush....Jones evaded that flush shot at HW. Question is can Joe do it for 12 rounds like Jones did.....I say NO. Joe's style leaves him open on many occassions, his work rate doesn't give oppoents much of a chance to capitalize on those openings but Ruiz wouldn't have to worry about the power of Joe, nor did he worry about the power of Jones. But both Roy and Joe can't take a true HW's punch. Ruiz would find his mark eventually if he faces the Great Super MW.

I thought of that too....but stylistically Joe engages by squaring up. That is a boxing No-No...only the very best can get away with it as Joe has shown over and over again. But against a HW....who won't be detered but Joe's "SLAPS" like other opposition who are closer to his weight, will walk Joe down and end up landing a KO punch. Joe is defiinitley a better boxer and over all fighter than Ruiz....but Size and power will play a role.

Ruiz wins, he's WAY bigger than Calzaghe.

If he goes "huggy bear" this is a long, ugly fight ending in a TKO for the Quiet Man, if not he TKO's Joe earlier.

Ruiz isn't/wasn't that bad - he was just a good styles up for RJJ... but not for Calzaghe.

Ruiz fought alot of people who was naturally better than him and did really well. I figure he would hold and oppose his weight and power on Joe and wear him down. This would be an easy win for The Quiet Man. Roy Jones vs Ruiz is another story for another day but I do not want to get into that. Jones handpicked Ruiz as his style was perfect for him and left the division when he won as the rest of the champions were bigger and faster than Roy at that weight. I am not going no more into details on that theory.

Calzaghe would embarrass that glorified clubfighter, just like Jones did! :yep
