Clottey landed the more effective punchs. Clottey hit Cotto with almost everything he threw. Cotto got the **** beat outta him and won so he could fight manny for a big ppv fight. Clottey got robbed plain and simple.

It's hard to think you're not biased against Cotto, Sox. You also said he didn't deserve the WBO belt on the grounds that it was Paul the Punisher's belt...even though Paul vacated it and titles which are vacated are routine fought for by the next guy's in line.

There might have been more exchanges in the middle rounds, instead of just Clottey chasing Cotto without huge succes. Clottey didn't capitalize when he had the advantage with or without the cut, so it wasn't as big a factor as it could be. The fight would be close either way, and the outcome would depend alot on what style you like the most. probably a SD or MD

Why would I be biased against Cotto? If you read this thread, other people feel the same way I do about this fight. Paul Williams didn't vacate anything, he was stripped of his belt. Williams said he moved up to take an interim fight at 154 because guys wouldn't fight him at 147, but he would go back down when he got a fight with one of those guys. Paul never intended to give up that belt.

 So that mean's he 'outboxing' him, by winning very close rounds that could have gone Cotto's way. Rightttt.

Lol, in no way was Clottey outboxing Cotto. Plus, a cut can be quite a hinderance, since not only blood is falling over (a bit of a distraction), but same blood can block your view. Cotto was doing well before the cut and in the final rounds. I'd say without the cut, Cotto would have won this convincingly, as clearly, his view was obstructed by that cut.

What crazyness in your logic explains Cotto would lose more rounds without a cut. I find that ahrd to believe.
