Mike was a far better fighter than Dubois in his prime, but had faded badly by the time he was Dubois` current age, if Dubois was the same age as Mike could he have become a world champ after Douglas knocked Tyson out?

So, if what you're asking is, could a 23 ( he's 26 now) year old Dubois as we knew him 3 years ago, have beaten that version of Douglas that Holyfield beat to win the title at that particular time?. As well as anytime after?.

I think the best chance he could have had was probably with the totally unmotivated version of Douglas that faced Holyfield.

Other than that no, I don't think Dubois mixes it up with the other top fighters of that time.

Dubois is still young and seems to be improving so maybe we've still to see the best of him.

I mean if a 21 year old Tyson takes on any other 21 year from history there is a good chance he comes out undefeated but he was a freak then and I am not saying he beats anyone in history if you match them prime for prime just not many was at his level at that age

He loses to Tyson then, after Iron Mike is incarcerated, he loses to Holyfield and / or Bowe. He pretty much has no shot at being a champion.

I simply meant if he had been born the same year as Tyson and turned pro at the same time would he have eventually have won a world title (even a WBO title maybe) considering Mike was unbeatable under Rooney but went off the rails and got knocked out in the 90`s, so could Dubois have eventually won a world title at some point in the 90`s?

Could have taken the title off Foreman in the mid 90`s?

you would have never heard of him outside of uk. he is a terrible boxer. tough as a mule, but equally as graceful.

Good point. He would only have been 29 or 30 years old at the time. Yes, he would have had a good shot at beating that version of Foreman.

I could see DDD maybe getting the win over Bruno if he could take him into the second part of the fight it could very well go the same as last week but he would need to take Brunos power until he gassed.
I could also see him beating McCall who was also a belt holder in the 90s and he had losses to Bruno' Tucker and Norris in the 90's so think DDD would have a good chance of picking up a belt but he would struggle with Tyson and I could not see him beating Holyfield or Lewis without some sort of Rahman type of upset
