I don`t think Floyd would have had enough power or reach to have much impact at 160 but could he have been as good as Canelo has become at the weight? I ask because someone on here said Floyd could beat Canelo at 160.

What year? Anything before 2013 he could've done decent. I think he may have beaten Williams and Martinez at his best but they'd be hard fights.
    He wouldn't beat GGG imo.

I think if he took the Cotto rematch in 2015 instead of Berto then he could've won the lineal title. I'd say he could win a belt but I don't think he'd ever be the ruler of the 160 division

    This sounds good.

My dream fight for Floyd will always be against senor Sanchez.

Oh hell yeah he could win it! Against ANYONE! SUCH TALENT AND DETERMINATION. I THINK HE COULD BEAT ANY FIGHTER UP TO 223 POUNDS. THE HEAVIES WOULD NEVER CATCH HIM. TYSON WOULD BE SOOO MAD AFTER 3 MONTHS OF FLOYD RIDICULING HIS SPEECH IMPEDIMENTS THAT HE WOULD HIT NOTHING BUT AIR BEFORE WINDING DOWN LIKE A BALLOON AND BEING STOPPED IN 8. REALLY, FOR SUPER DUPER FLOYD THE SKY IS THE LIMIT.

At legit 160 and not catchweight bouts? He'd have done okay but I think it would probably be a weight division too high for him against legimate middleweights like GGG.

This would have been a stretch for Mayweather and to be perfectly honest I don't think he would have been competitive above super welterweight. But I would have given Floyd more credit if he moved up and lost to Golovkin than if he stayed where he was and retired undefeated. For a featherweight to move up and even be competitive with a full blown middleweight is unheard of. Floyd loves to call himself TBE, but the most disappointing thing is that he never dared to be great.

Floyd is too small, for all his skill. He would be ground down by a tough, physical middleweight.

Except he had a field day with Canelo, who was cutting a ton of weight to make jr middle and then rehydrating.

Mayweather made a mistake by not going to 160. Martinez and Cotto had the lineal 160 title there for the taking. Both would be fairly easy match-ups for him. I don’t think he’d want to stick around though.
