LOL, so what do you think? He was down in the 1st round, got up and controlled the pace of the fight. 116-111 seems about right to me.

Of course compubox does not determine everything, but it does provide solid information.
    Andrade
    219 / 769 total punches
    108 / 469 jabs
    111 / 300 power

    Martirosyan
    97 / 443 total punches
    10 / 110 jabs
    87 / 333 power

I appreciate your detailed response, but you are simply letting your biasness delude your perception, and big time.

Its been so long since the fight that most ringside scores are now lost but...

    Associated Press - Vargas 115-112
    Boxing Chronicle - Vargas 115-112
Eye On the Ring - Controversy Rating 0%

I wont even bring up HBO's scorecard or the official compubox numbers, as Im sure you will label them as biased, fair enough on that. But I can tell you that in a decade of being on various boxing forums, and talking boxing in various boxing gyms, you are the first and only person I have ever heard even bring up that this fight was controversial. In fact I would be surprised if you could find me one single article, post, comment, - anything- from the last decade on any site or any interview where -anyone- agrees that the Ike fight was controversial and someone had Ike winning.

You are just flat out wrong, and badly, so much so it brings into question your judgement on everything else you post on.

I could dissect your entire post as the truly mis-informed and incompetent post it is (bringing up the Mayorga loss, for one), but further addressing of it would be a waste of time, your initial point speaks the loudest on how far off what you think you are seeing is, from what you actually are viewing.

It is what it is.... thanks for your post though.

    Im off to bed, goodnight.

A peak Vargas (which didn't last long) would be a decisive favorite in my mind over everyone at 154 currently except for Mayweather, Alvarez, and Lara.

Some good champs at 154, some good fights.

Vargas at his best destroys most but could run close with the Ranga and mr santoya.

As Mayweather is not a 154 guy despite the recognition I'll leave him out the equation. I think Vargas goes through everyone in the division except Lara. Winky boxed well with Vargas I see the same scenario vs. Lara.

Oddly I think he'd struggle a bit with Bundrage, he'd clearly outbox him but would be willing to fight and you can't really muscle Bundrage around. I think he'd win but have rough moments. No one else at that weight can handle him.
I can't add Clottey (is he really active?).

Canelo is too patient to win that type of fight vs. Vargas, who would be on him from the jump.

I'm a fan of Trout but he isn't at the level to box with Vargas and win, especially if he tries to make it a shoot out.

Andrade and Vanes I see him simply having his way with both.

Cotto(at this stage), could outbox him, but I think the pressure may make him fold. This would be 50/50.

Kirkland would be a war, but Vargas chin would likely hold up longer.

Vargas would tear Canelo a New one. I think he would beat Lara also, as well as Bundrage and the weaker Charlo brother.
