Kirkland/Vargas would be a back and forth WAR .

I say Vargas pretty much beats everyone at 154 , But the current 154 pounders will def have their moments , As tough as he was... Vargas had flaws .

 

Lose to Trout. Probably beat the rest. Alvarez would win if Vargas slugged all night.

I think Trout would out work a prime Winky. A fighter like Trout is Winky's kryptonite.

 

Todays Roids are even better than the one Vargas used back in his prime. Vargas beats them all.

vargas was the first to stop ross who later moved up to 168 and went the distance with lacy, kp and echols. prime ferocious wastes the current class of 154's(although there is great parity in this division).

He was outboxing the hell outta Tito I question how many guys actually have seen the fight instead of going with the usual popular and flawed "Tito destroyed him the whole fight" fallacyatsch. They also forget he had wins over Wright & Quartey so no he didn't "get rushed" either. He was still a good fighter post-Trinidad but if once thing wasn't the same it was him being sterile lol.

That said he retires Alvarez and possibly could beat Floyd but not gonna say he knocks him out, he got hit too much.

 

wtf are you talking about? Tito was notorious for starting slow. David Reid had a better first half of the fight than Vargas did. Vargas held his chin in the air and traded too much; that's what undid him.

I agree that he wasn't rushed tho. Ultimately, Vargas was done in by back problems more than anything else. It's why all of his lateral movement was gone by the time he fought Shane.

No ****ing way he beats Floyd. He was always too easy to hit. Alvarez would be a good fight.
