How would Floyd deal with Pac's foot speed, awkward punch angles, and speed?

As shown last weekend, Floyd can't move like he used to, while Pac moves around the ring like a speedy race car in and out. Floyd has a chance don't get me wrong, but Floyd has a tough time with southpaws...

That wasn't shown last week. Don't buy what Roach is selling.

I actually SAW the fight. Compare the Floyd of 140lbs to today's and you will see a difference.

I actually SAW that fight as well and pretty much all of Floyd's fights. What you're expressing is not original... this is a concept Freddie Roach just put out there which is simply false. He CHOSE to stand in there and trade. Thats called strategy. He CHOSE not to move like he usually does, and Shane gave him no real reason to.

True. But I still agree also that Floyd has lost just a tad bit of foot speed. NO it's not cuz of Roach, I thought the same while watching the fight myself.

He has slowed down from his prime but if you think about it, he never seems to fight speedy fighters on the outside. He seems to emphasize timing over speed with them, which I think is pretty intelligent. I actually stated on these forums before the fight that Mayweather would be better off infighting Mosley considering the gap in skill between the two in that area, and considering the fact that you just can't evade a guy for an entire fight like Shane by backpedaling.

Floyd is so versatile there's so many ways he can beat Pacquiao. He can beat him in the pocket like Mosley, or on the outside like he did with Marquez. I really think Pacquiao has more to worry about than Floyd. He's never seen speed, defense, counter punching, or intelligence like that, and if the Marquez fights are any indication, he has trouble with counter punchers.

He couldn't deal with Judah when Judah was on his game. He won't be able to deal with Pac for 12 rounds.

Timing! Speed kills but timing trumps speed. I am a fan of both of these guys and I sorta do not want them to fight . . . but its gotta happen!!

Freddie Roach is the king of contradiction. You're going to be very disappointed if this fight ever occurs.

It won't even matter when Manny loses this fight convincingly... His fans will never quit and will always find some way to invalidate it.

Floyd would deal with Pac's foot speed, awkward punching angles, and speed by utilizing his own superior foot speed, accuracte punches that are just as accurate as Pac is awkward, and superior speed. He then would lay on his superior conditioning, superior natural size, superior defense, and superior ring intelligence to ensure that Pac rush in to a well timed KO blow after several rounds of typical Floyd strategy and break down.

I've been saying it all along. Mayweather would have early trouble with Pacquiao, possibly even get clipped pretty hard, and then "turn into a dragon" as Richardson put it. Manny would bring out the ferocious side of Mayweather.
