How would Floyd deal with Pac's foot speed, awkward punch angles, and speed?

there is no real hard evidence that mayweather has slowed down. he chose to fight flatfooted against mosley just like he did with judah. if pac and roach are banking on the possiblilty that mayweather has no legs, then they are probably going to get the shock of their life. as far as dealing with pac's speed and angles, he will have to use timing, great timing beats speed and mayweather is great at timing fighters.

the opposite question is how will pac deal with mayweather's counter punching and accuracy?

Iv watched all his fights thank you .. and when darts in he comes in unprotected and with his hand at his side .. again if you think he's going to bulldoze Floyd your mistaken .. watch fighters other than pac maybe.

That is exactly howa smaller fighter should fight Clottey, by outthrowing him and keeping him busy with punches. with What little openings Clottey gave MAnny he took them, which was Clotteys body, by stepping around and going to Clotteys sides. I don't see how circling clottey would of opened Clottey's defense up. Clottey would of just followed Manny around the ring with his guard up.

Its impossible to creat an opening when a fighter is 100% defense and will just not do anything but keep his guard up. There was nothing MAnny could of done to get Clottey to open up Clottey just wanted to go 12 rds. Manny even tried standing in front of clottey letting him throw so he could counter in between, but Clottey rarely took the bait and just stayed in his shell.

Mayweather is at his peak right now. I've never seen him look better.

yup, and when you look at the clottey fight, even though pac clearly dominated, it was suprising that even when the few times clottey let his hands go, he landed clean, punches. even john scully said after the fight "clottey's 10 best punches were probably better the pacquiao's to best punches" and clottey is not even a great counter puncher.

successful !!!!??? at doing what running into punches, getting in close and doing no damage.. Then getting out muscle and getting worked to the body.

then finally running into a hook and slamming his head into a ring post .. and only won 2 round before getting KOed ..

you call that success, I call that an ass whooping .!!

He won't bulldoze him, he will frustrate him and make him run. Roy Jones used to do the same **** with his counterpunching until he met someone that had no fear of him. Pacq is a gamedog not a bone crushing rough cur.

if there anything that you can take away fvrom the mosley fight, it is that mayweather is unpredicatble, which will be another problem that team pac will have to deal with. most people though mayweather was goinjg to get on his bike and run around the ring and potshot

yet, instead, he was the agressior for the most of the fight, going right after mosley.

n thus why u not getting what im saying...JUST LIKE FLOYD DIDNT ALLOW MOSLEY TO LAND WIDE LOOPING PUNCHES LIKE HE DID ON ANTONIO...HE WILL NOT ALLOW MANNY TO KEEP HIS FOOTWORK IN POSITION TO GET AN ANGLE ON HIM...HE DONT HAVE THAT KINDA TECHNICAL SKILLS MAN IM TELLIN U...

I RESPECT YOUR OPINION..JUST SEE A LOT OF FLAWS IN HOW U THINK MANNY WOULD BE ABLE TO "TECHNICALLY" DO WHAT YOUR SAYING TO FLOYD...ITS NOT THAT EASY TO GET IN AND OUT WHEN U DONT HAVE THE RIGHT ANGLE TO DO IT CUZ UR OPPONENT IS CONTROLLING THE TEMPO OF THE FIGHT...

    :good

    Good points.

I think that's the style that can actually trouble Mayweather to a certain extent. The swarmer-style. But on both occasions I remember him facing such opposition (Jesus Chavez and Hatton come to mind), he showed he can deal with that as well, even if he didn't like it and it seemed to throw him a bit out of his comfort zone.

What are we talking about here?

Are we talking about the entire fight in general, or Hatton's ability to close the distance?

Because if you're talking about the entire fight, you do realize that when you are the aggressor, you will occasionaly get caught coming in right?

And the fact that Mayweather shut down Hatton's offense on the inside meant that Hatton was never able to get in the fight.

You do realize that Hatton is not Pac, right? If Pac managed to get Floyd in the same position Hatton did, it makes his a much closer fight and may even put the fight in Pac's favor due to his explosiveness. I doubt that Pac can be nullified as easily as Pac, so his punches will slow Floyd down.

But, I don't think Pac can close the distance like Hatton did, and that's why Floyd will beat him.

And that is the entire point. Don't twist things up.

Some of you are making way to big of a deal out of a fighters 'footwork'. Don't matter how fast your feet move.. what you gonna do when you get close enough to to hit?

If you think Pac beats Floyd because he moves his feet fast and punches other opponents at akward angles with 'speed' your delusional.

Pac will not be able to get any kind of offense going as he'll find it impossible for him to close the distance between himself and Floyd without running into stinging shots. Your delusional if you think Pac is simply going to 'eat' Floyd's punches and throw his own flurry. If that is how Manny plans to fight, let me know now so I can bet my house on Floyd to KO him

Hatton didn't do **** to Floyd that bothered him all night. In fact he left himself no room to work, which did the same to Floyd. Once Floyd got tired of that **** and timed it what happened? At no point in that fight was it questionable who would win.
