How would Floyd deal with Pac's foot speed, awkward punch angles, and speed?

What I was saying is that even if Pac has good foot movement, he still has to have an effective means of mounting an attack, and simply relying on your feet to close the distance as a plan of attack is foolish. What do you do after you close the distance?

hell no hatton not on par with duran not even as a sparring partner, any fool can get in the ring and run forward and close the distance it don't take a genius to do that. you like everyone else put too much emphases in speed and using it to close the distance, duran nor orlando were fleet footed but they new how to work the ring and close the distance with fast fighters.

you don't have to have speed to close the distance on floyd castillo proved that, you do however have to know what the **** your doing when engage a fighter like floyd its called skill..

haha..shanes age played in when he got tired..NOT WHEN HE ACTUALLY HAD FLOYD HURT AND WASNT TIRED YET MAN...he did more than just "hold on"...FLOYD "caught" the punch man.....he tied up thus why shane couldnt throw..I DONT THINK U REALIZE HOW HARD THIS IS TO DO ESPECIALLY AGAINST A WORLD CLASS FIGHTER....THERE ARE WORLD CLASS FIGHTERS SUCH AS ANTONIO MARGARITO USED TO BE OR MIGUEL COTTO WHO ARE STILL TRYING TO PERFECT "CATCHING A PUNCH" AFTER BEING HURT..I DONT EXPECT U TO UNDERSTAND IT BUT ITS VERY HARD TO DO ALONG WITH THE REST OF WHAT FLOYD DID....

SHANE BEING OLD OR NOT WHEN FLOYD WAS HURT IS NOT RELEVANT..SHANE HAS A KILLER INSTINCT AS HE SHOWED WITH TONY AND MANY OTHER FIGHTERS....

Go watch round 2 and watch what floyd does...

Now go watch round 8 and 9 of antonio margarito and watch what tony does...

Floyd survived cuz he did everything right...he adapted and showed versatility in his fight game-HE IS SO DAMN VERSATILE AS A FIGHTER HE KNOWS "HOW TO FIGHT WHEN HURT"

tony on the other hand or even mayorga for a split second couldnt hold on as they were never taught how to do this in a boxing gym....

U keep saying something ITS SOMETHING every fighter woulda done...I AGREE...LIKE HOW ANTONIO MARGARITO "TRIED" TO HOLD ON OR MAYORGA OR ALL THESE OTHER GUYS THAT GET BUZZED...BUT THEY STILL DONT DO IT THAT TECHNICALLY SOUND MAN.....but every fighter cant catch the punch like that, tie up asap, smother his man like floyd, and still keep his head IN THE BOXING MATCH AND STILL THINKING ABOUT WHAT TO TECHNICALLY DO TO SURVIVE..FLOYD CAN AND DID..

I could care less about the age in this situation btw...and as for power dont act like shanes is gone...everyone knows a fighter loses his power last...plus shane can still compete with the rest of the wws minus pac (for arguments sake) and floyd...he would give the number 4, 5, and 6 guys in the division a very hard time and they are all younger than him...(berto, clottey, collazo maybe 6)

Dude.. Don't take all of this personal or anything. I honestly think we're not far from the same page as far as how the fight will play out..

I was saying that it doesn't matter how good Pac moves his feet, he will have to sell out to get inside because his boxing skills are inferior.

I disagree with you on Pac's infighting prowess though, I feel Floyd will be even more dangerous for Pac inside, where he can explode any time out of his defensive shell with a single thudding power shot, or a serious of stinging short punches

I never said stay in front of him. I said he cannot be jumping at him swinging on one leg. He will have no balance at all for when he gets hit with a counter shot. Just like in the Jmm when he got countered with that left hook that hurt him bad.

Yeah right I don't understand how difficult it is, someone hwo has been involved in boxing since I was a kid. Just because you post alot doesn't mean you are actualy a real champion. Posting alot doesnt inflate your boxing IQ, it just means you post alot and probably have hemroids due to sitting around posting all the time.. Stop trying to to make it sound like what MAyw. did was so unique and so complicate dthat only a few gifted, fighters who ever existed could do. He got hurt, he held on until he got his legs back. Shane could not capitalize on it. YOu keep comparing the MArgarito fight to this fight, AM and Mayw are two completely differnt fighters with different styles.

i just see too many ways Floyd can beat Pac...

I only see one for Pac and thats a big bomb that just flat out KO's Floyd...i dont even think if he hurts Floyd he would finish him because i believe Floyd to be such a smart fighter he would survive and recoup.

BUT anyting is possible....i just think Floyd has alllll the tools and more ways to beat Pac than Pac has.

LOL AND NOW WE GO TO CRITICISM SINCE I OWNED U...WELL IF U BEEN BOXING SINCE U WAS A KID NI33A THAN U WOULD KNOW THAT ITS VERY HARD TO CATCH A PUNCH..IM NOT COMPARING THE AM FIGHT TO THIS ONE...I KNOW THEY ARE 2 DIFFERENT FIGHTERS....I AM COMPARING THE FACT THAT FLOYD KNEW HOW TO HANG ON WHEN HURT SO HE WASNT FINISHED WHERE TONY DIDNT..

I CAN TELL UR WAY OFF IN YOUR POSITION AND WHAT YOU THINK IM SAYING CUZ UR SUGGESTING THAT I DIDNT KNOW FLOYD AND TONY ARE TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT FIGHTERS..YEA MAN I KNOW...THUS THE REASON FLOYD KNEW HOW TO HOLD ON AND TONY DIDNT...TONY WAS CONSIDERED THE BEST IN THE DIVISION AT THAT TIME BTW:hi:

REAL CHAMPION/?? POST A LOT?? HUH??? NOBODY SAID NOTHING ABOUT THAT...N I KNOW MY SH1T MAN..IM NOT A PART TIME BOXING FAN....BEEN FOLLOWING THE SPORT FOR A WHILE..I UNDERSTAND THE CORRUPTION AND POLITICS WITHIN THE SPORT ALONG WITH THE BUSINESS SIDE OF IT AS WELL...THANKS

AND PAC STILL DONT HAVE THE FOOTWORK HE NEEDS TO MAKE IT A "FIGHT" SO DO U THINK HEE WINS A "CHESS MATCH" AGAINST FLOYD"?? GOOD LUCK...AGAIN..IF PAC WANTS TO WIN HE HAS TO 'FIGHT"..HE CANT OUTTHINK FLOYD MAN....HE HAS A BETTER CHANCE OF CATCHING HIM WITH SOMETHING THAN HE DOES OF WINNING A TECHNICAL BOXING MATCH...N I HAVE GIVEN MY POSITION ON WHY IT WILL BE AT FLOYDS TEMPO AND NOT MANNIES..MANNY DONT GOT THE TECH FOOTWORK BIG HOMIE

Because MArgarito deosnt know how to hold when he is hurt that means Floyd is so great. AM was not considered the best he was one of the best. If you have been "in boxing" whatever you mean by that for so long and you consider Manny does'nt have good footwork then you have no idea what you are talking about. YOu keep comparing what AM did not do and what Floyd did. That proves nothing. Hell Paulie Maliggnaggi knows what to do when he gets hurt, he holds. Oh my God! in your world he must be the best fighter in the world.
Just because Floyd beat Mosley and Mosley beat AM that does not mean Floyd can beat Paq.

big, big problem for pacquiao. pac eats hard counters as he tries to shorten the gap between them. if pac ever gets inside, floyd may employ his other weapon: his elbows. Pbf used this against mosley and marquez. But roach still has tactics up his sleeve, its up to him on how manny would come up to a solution how he could land a punch that could turn the tide against may...

    Mayweather UD Pacquiao.

Without bold caps or either fighters balls in my mouth, I pretty much think that Floyd wins through sheer counterpunching that will affect the smaller man more visibly and Pacquiao's agression will only make it more apparent that when it starts to take effect on Pac, he will slow down a fair bit than what we're used to seeing from him.

I think its a 116-112+ kinda fight for Floyd who's skill sets work for him against the smaller Pac.

I think Pac's footwork and southpaw style will allow him to make the fight closer than Mosley or JMM did.

I don't think Floyd will stop him.

your right but this on a forum where people are typicaly ALOT mor knowledgeable....however if you start to ask casual fans and even some sport writers and boxing followers ALOT of them see PAC beating Floyd...i think the odds will be a lot closer.
