guys that beat or got a draw against Pacquiao ? Singsurat, Torrecampo, Morales,Marquez , Bradley, Sanchez
morales took it to Floyd in one session. Floyd was trying a whole round, (5-10 mins nonstop) with a couple sparring partners to see how he could keep multiple fighters from penetrating his defense. by the time el terrible got in there Floyd was getting a little tired an el terrible put it on him. they then sparred I think I was told 2 rounds and it was really good work, I did hear morales looked like he got the better of it but 2 rounds with a faded Floyd isn't anything to brag about. I love el terrible, truly without question one of my top 3 ALL time favorite fighters, he is neck and neck with tito for me. so I guess you guys now know my top 3 but I have to now make room for trip G. he has made that great of an impact on me this quickly. so top 4 I have. maybe one day i'll have a 5ht fighter I love as much as the other 4. yes I hope very much
The way he completely outclassed, and humiliated Marquez tells you ALL you need to know, with regard to the others on that list.
As Floyd puts it himself. Styles make fights. Let's not forget Marquez came up 2 weight classes to face Floyd on top of that. It goes both ways. I would hope most people would understand by now that triangle theories don't work. Because if thats the route you want to go then, Paquaio destroyed Hatton in 2 rounds, Mayweather took what 10/11? Paquiao destroyed De La Hoya in 8 rounds, Mayweather won a controversial split decision. Paquiao dismantled Cotto and stopped him in the championship rounds, Mayweather took a beating from Cotto and was a competitive fight throughout. Its really very simple, if you want to see if your triangle theory works it loses all credibility when you see that Paquiao stopped Cotto and Mayweather could not.
Is Mayweather a teenager against Torrecamo and Singsurat in this hypothetical? He would beat JMM at feather. Barrera would be a UD loss. Morales would spark Floyd.
Stop lying about the Morales sparing session lol... Prime Floyd wipes the floor with Morales and the guys Pac lost to.
Oscar, and Cotto were CATCHWEIGHTS, and the opinions of Pact ards on those weights are of no consequence to me. Mayweather didn't ask for either DLH or Cotto to make less than 154, and he himself only weighed in at 150. Hatton had left more than 80% of what he was in the ring after the KT fight. Ffs even Luis Collazo had him all over the place, and he is a guy with a pi ss poor KO ratio. Mayweather just put the final touch to Hattons punch resistance. As for Marquez coming up 2 weights, that is irrlelevant nonsense. It might have counted had Mayweather bullied him and KO'd him, but he didn't. Instead he put on a total master class of boxing, something Paci-ow simply couldn't do if he lived to be a fvcking million.
What a nuthugging and revisionist post. "controversial split decision..." No, nobody scored that fight for Oscar. The only controversy was that it wasn't a Unanimous Decision. "took a beating from Cotto..." No, he did not take a "beating" from Cotto en route to a 117-111 or 116-112 where he was handling Cotto the last four rounds. If you're going to point out a bloody nose, then we can point out that Cotto burst Pac's ear drum and made him have a wrap around his dome for days after the fight. Styles make fights. That's like saying Willie Pep had many peers in his era better than he was because there were several guys who stopped some common opponents when Pep only decisioned them... A foolish notion.
Jameel Mccline dominated Calvin Brock in sparring and was dominated by Brock in their actual fight. James Toney had sparring wars with Danny Green (at the time a SMW). See where this can lead?
