Never would have even moved up to the division, believe that ****. Leonard, Hearns, Pryor, Arguello, Benitez, Duran all give him a big shellacking.

There are also a lot of just solid fighters like Curry, Brown, Starling, Honeyghan, and Davis that would give him great fights.

I do agree that he could beat Cuevas.

I think Floyd would be too smart to get up in weight to fight guys that could potentially destroy him. He is a natural 147 lb fighter, not the biggest but definitely not the smallest, but his regimen and lifestyle would have allowed him to fight at 135/140 comfortably where his superior defense and ring IQ would have prevailed over vast majority of opponents.

I doubt he will fought anybody significant, the guys in 80 wouldn't take the Olympic blood drainage.

The thing is that floyd's flatfooted hit n' run spoiler style at WW wouldn't be nearly as effective against a lot of the guys, especially the quality infighters and the top level boxers. Lot counting against him here as far as the best of the division go.

The classy ones from the 80' would be hard to decision due to big hearts and good chins. I don't see Floyd being top 5 at that time.

Floyd Jr. would've kicked Leonards ass! Floyd Sr. Put the fear of God in Ray Leonards corner when they fought! Floyd sr, was popin Ray in the body at will and definitely won more rounds up to the point where Ray found an opening and TKO'd him. But it was a fun fight to watch. Floyd jr. wouldn't have been touched by Leonard but would he have enough offensive output to satisfy the judges is the question? Floyd would take minimal shouts if he could keep Ray in the middle of the ring where Floyd Jr. could whoop his ass. However Leonards use of the ring or ring generalship as they call it is probably superior to most welters of any era, so it would be very interesting fight. It would be a 2 fight or possibly 3 fight trilogy and Money would be 2-1! But you guys say Money is a ducker. That was really not a ducking era that Ray Leonard fought in but Ray ducked more than a few guys starting with Aaron Pryor who very obviously would've whooped Ray's ass!

Floyd only moved up to 147 and 140 because of the potential big fights. He could have stayed at 135 for a lot longer and eventually out grown the division and ended up at 140, so I think he wouldn't even be a 147 pounder. I know he wouldn't have belts in 5 weight classes, but **** neither would Pacquiao.
Floyd can beat everybody in the era except Duran, Leonard and Hearns though

Right on it, but 135 we did have Arguellos, Whitaker and Chavez and Pryor was at 140, in any case he would have to fight for real, same as Pacquio north of 126.

to be honest we dont know how well floyd would have done in the 90's

prime Trinidad, Prime De La Hoya, we saw the problem he has with the jab (Quartey), prime mosley (the one who faced Oscar), Forrest.....

How would Floyd do against a Margarito???

His resume above 135 is not HOF worthy at all..before 135 he was exceptional P4P quality
