I was impressed w/Forbes skills and chin last night. He seems a smallish guy @147. Could Forbes get down to 140? How would he do against Hatton, Malignaggi, Bradley, etc?

He'd be the best punching bag the division ever saw(wrestling partner for Hatton)

I think he'd tap Hatton's ass. He's like Mayweather lite.

It's true. Hatton would not touch him with a baseball bat with those sloppy hooks and bullrushing in with not even a jab.

The only question would be whether Forbes could sustain activity and not let Hatton wrassle too much.

Bradley is the only top guy in the division I'd tip confidently to beat him. And even that would be very competitive.

That is a valid concern. The Berto fight got pretty physical, but then Forbes pretty much stated outright that infighting was his gameplan going in - so how much of it was Forbes' gears being too creaky to move him around like the old days is unclear.

Fobes has proven very well that he can't sustain activity...he lacks determination, workrate and will...Forbes isnt a tough one to crack and nothing would change moving down in weight:deal

That's kinda' my thought. Not ready to say he'd clean house, but I think he'd liven up the mix some more. Seems like he'd be able to stay w/the better money fights. Although maybe he'd be ducked as he might be a look-bad-program for the division's champs and young guns?

He'd do much better at 140. He already beat two decent fighters at 140 recently, Panchito Bojado and Demetrius Hopkins (he lost officially, but it was a blatant robbery). Considering how weak the weight class is right now, he could still win a belt there if a few breaks went his way.
