    Dempsey

    Tunney

    Louis

    Marciano

    Liston

    Holmes

    Tyson

    Holyfield

    Lewis

(I would actually give Tunney a better chance against Foreman than against Frazier)

George is capable of beating any of them...

Foreman beats Dempsey in a wild slug out... KO2

Tunney beats Foreman on points if he survives the first half of the fight

Louis should beat George but Joe could be dropped and I can imagine George pulling this off... even so i'll go with Joe by KO in about 7.

Foreman should win another early stoppage but Marciano's stamina and durability could get him through. if he hasn't sustained too much damage early on then Rocky wins a late KO.

    Holmes stops George in 13-15

Tyson is a close one... I can imagien Tyson jumping on him from the bell... Then again a couple of good shots from george would put Tyson back... I'd go with George by stoppage in 6 but it would be a very close fight

    Holyfield beats George on points.

    Lewis gets taken early.

Foreman stops Dempsey inside of 3 rounds. Too small and Foreman was in a way different league than Firpo who almost knocked Dempsey out.

Tunney-Foreman is interesting. Tunney might be able to pull a Peralta but better and use his ring generalship and speed to avoid young Foreman and rack up points. I wouldn't count on it though, trying to avoid a young Foreman for 15 rounds would probably be too much for Tunney and he'd be stopped sometime.

Louis-Foreman is a tough fight to pick. I'll pick that one later.

Foreman beats up Marciano. Foreman loved fighting short fighers who came to him (Frazier, even a decent Bert Cooper who he fought in his 2nd career) and I see him being able to stop The Rock. If Marciano gets out of the early rounds though, all bets are off.

Holmes-Foreman is another pickem fight. Ali beat Foreman by using the ropes and taking everything Foreman had. Holmes wouldn't use this technique and he'd try to stay on the outside and use his jab to dictate the action. I could see Foreman catching Holmes and finishing him, and I could see Holmes outboxing him and stopping him late. I'll pick that one later as well.

I rate Tyson very high but Foreman is a bad matchup for him. Foreman was stronger and hit harder than Tyson. But Tyson has the big edge in speed and technique and I think that makes the difference. Tyson by KO within 7 but anything can happen.

Peak Foreman vs. Holyfield would be close. Holyfields one of the toughest and most durable fighters ever, but Foreman was one of the strongest and hardest hitters ever. I don't see Foreman being able to knockout Holyfield and Holyfield would most likely be able to go the distance. 50/50.

Foreman would knockout Lewis. Lewis was a very good boxer with a great jab and power, but he wouldn't be able to keep Foreman off of him. Foreman by KO in about 5.

George Foreman KO3 Jack Dempsey - Dempsey would give his all in the first round, possibly intimidate by Foreman's size and strength. It would not be enough, and Foreman would plow threw him in the third, Norton style.

George Foreman KO10 Gene Tunney - Tunney had enough boxing skill (and a jab) to stay in the fight for a while. His footwork would also be a key in this fight. I see him taking a lot of the early rounds, as Foreman would be swinging at air. But eventually, Foreman lands, later rather than sooner, and Tunney is finished (around the tenth).

Joe Louis TKO8 George Foreman - Wow! How could this be? Well, Louis would undoubtedly be knocked down early, but he would get up and avoid most of the punishing shots with a good offense. His accuracy would poke holes all over Foreman's weak defensive prowess, and by the seventh round, Foreman's face is going to be swollen and cut. I'm estimating by the 8th the referee would call a halt to the contest.

Rocky Marciano W12 (or 15) George Foreman - Marciano's ability to roll with punches would be key here. Marciano would tag Foreman early (possibly a flash knockdown, considering Marciano's power) and often. Foreman may return the favor in the early rounds with body punching (I doubt he hits Marciano cleanly on the face often, but the body ... yes). The fight would be a war of attrition, and Marciano, despite being slightly behind early on, would come back big in the mid and late rounds, with a gassed Foreman barely lasting the distance.

George Foreman KO 7 Larry Holmes - This is a close call, and about even in my book. But Foreman was a great finisher, and, if this goes the distance, Holmes wins via landslide. But I see Foreman landing the mid rounds, shocking Holmes, and finishing the job before Holmes has a chance to recover.

George Foreman TKO4 Mike Tyson - Yes, Tyson at his best is dispatched quickly. Why? He's short. Foreman would set him up for the uppercut, catch him, and that's it. Tyson may have some early sucess considering his hand speed, but Tyson doesn't know how to back up. Foreman would back him up. Good night!

George Foreman TKO6 Evander Holyfield - Foreman would not land early, but would begin landing big in the mid rounds. And in his prime, he would unload when the oppurtunity arose (and with Holyfield, game as anyone, the oppurtunity will be there).

Lennox Lewis W12 George Foreman - Yep - Lewis height, reach, and boxing ability would enable him to navigate a decision over Foreman. Foreman, for the most part, will swing at air, and do ALRIGHT when he lands. But Lewis would be able to survive any adversity here and when comftorably on points.

    Foreman - Dempsey (Foreman KO2)

Foreman in the 2nd as Dempsey tries to take him out and is over his head

    Foreman - Tunney (Foreman KO6)

Tunney tries to box George and in doing so, lasts longer than Dempsey but he gets caught in the mid rounds

    Foreman - Louis (Louis KO2)

Similar to Foreman Dempsey, except Foreman is the aggressor and comes at Louis, who counters him and catches him.

Foreman - Marciano (Foreman KO 2)

This is basically a replay of Foreman Dempsey, very few fighters can win trying to crowd Foreman.

    Foreman - Holmes (Foreman KO5)

Holmes tries out boxing George once he becomes aware of his power and does so until he gets caught. He gets KO'd while ahead 3 rounds to 1.

Foreman - Tyson (Foreman KO 4)

This is more of along the Lyle - Foreman type of fight, where George is down twice but so is Tyson..but Foreman survives the war due to superior power and equally solid chin.

Foreman - Holyfield (Foreman KO 10)

Along the vein of Holyfield - Bowe, Holyfield feels he has to prove himself against George and it becomes a war of attrition. Foreman isn't going to lose a war of attrition against Holyfield and stops him late.

    Foreman-Lewis (Lewis KO 7)

Lewis fights in between a boxer style Holmes and a brawler style and chooses when to step it up. He out boxes Foreman during the first 5-6 rounds using his height and size and then catches Foreman with an overhand right as George in the latter rounds when Foreman starts getting frustrated and careless.

Dempsey In His Prime Would Tear George To Shreds,he Worked Best With Big Slow Guys.tunney Could Keep His Distance And Possibly Win Dec. But Big George Might Take His Head Off If Tunney Slips Up. Louis Would Absolutly Destroy George.rocky Might Ko George But With His Slow Style And Short Arms I See Rocky Losing On Cuts. Holmes Im Undecided.tyson Fought Alot Like Dempsey Maybe A Little Slower,i Can See This One Going Either Way With Foremans Power And Tysons Lack Of Heart.holyfield Tries To Trade And Gets Beat Down Bt 10.george Maybe Catches Lewis By 5 Or 6

IMO, George beats all of them except Louis and possibly Lewis.

    Foreman a moderate favorite.

Real possibility for an upset, but I'll still go with Foreman.

I like Louis to pick George apart, stop him in the middle rounds.

    Foreman a close-but-clear favorite.

Joe stops George faster in a rematch. (I assume this was an error)

    I favor Holmes on points.

I lean towards Foreman by early KO.

    Foreman by early-to-mid-round stoppage.

    Foreman by early-to-mid KO.

So, if Foreman fights each of those guys once, I have him going 6-2.

It appears most are choosing Foreman to dispatch of Rocky Marciano.

I disagree - somewhat. I think Rocky Marciano's stamina would play a huge roll in the right. He would duck very low and slip punches (not a defensive master, but he had a pretty good defense though), and I think overcome big time adversity early to win a decision.

I don't see George Foreman knocking Marciano out. The arguement is either a.) he hits Marciano like Marciano was never hit before, well, Moore floored him - I doubt Marciano, with his chin, would be put out by Foreman's swings, or b.) Foreman badly busts Marciano up - tempting and possibly early in the fight, but Foreman was not always terribly accurate, so again, I think despite early problems, Marciano comes on late and wins via unanimous decision in a war.
