How would Frank Bruno (at his peak) do against today's top heavyweight fighters such as AJ and Fury?

Bruno would have much more of a hance vs Hughie Fury than Tyson Fury.

Scared, watch him jab against another man with a good jab in Lennox Lewis, he was doing great, to the point Lewis had to go rough. Tyson was hard to time with the jab too

Bruno`s stamina was awful and he had to cling on at the end of his bout vs McCall. Lewis wasn`t a good fighter until Steward got hold of him, McCall proved that.

Bruno’s stamina wasn’t awful at all.
Of course he was like most big heavyweights he slowed down in the second half of fights.
So he had to cling on at the end of 12 hard rounds against McCall that’s Championship fighting.
Look at Whyte against Parker, he was on his arse and virtually out on his feet at the end.
Lewis wasn’t a good fighter until Steward got hold of him? Well Steward certainly improved him but Lewis wasn’t a good fighter until then? He’d been good enough to beat Ruddock and Tucker.
Regarding the stamina issue I don’t think that's something you can hold against Bruno in comparison to the present bunch.

Ruddock fought using one hand against Tyson and Tucker was nowhere near as good as he was when he fought Tyson in `87.

I was a big Bruno fan when I was younger but he had big flaws as a fighter. In particular, Bruno was always vulnerable to a puncher. He was very lucky not to be stopped by Jumbo Cummings in his 19th fight and was lucky he got clocked almost on the bell or it would have been all over. He got stopped again by Bonecrusher Smith and by the Spoon a few fights later. IMO AJ and Wilder both punch harder than those 3 fighters.

Whilst Bruno had a good stiff jab, he was never good under adversity and when hurt just seemed to freeze in the ring, allowing his opponent to tee off on him. He had no natural instincts to cover up and ride out the storm, would just stand there like a big gormless statue and take it all. Fury at his best would outwork Frank over the 12 rounds. I think both AJ and Wilder stop him although he always had a puncher's chance with that big right hand of his.

It's not fair to compare Bruno to AJ just because they are both physical specimens. AJ is much more of a natural fighter and is much better under adversity. I don't see Bruno surviving that 6th round against Wlad for example. AJ's inside work would cause Bruno fits and he wouldn't have survived the hurt AJ put on Povetkin in the 7th round. The fight would have been stopped after the first KD.

Wilder could get knocked out (if Ortiz hurt him then Frank certainly would) but again if Wilder hits him properly with that right hand.. Game over man, game over.

Witherspoon said that despite being chubby he was in excellent shape for Bruno and had trained extremely well. He claims he drank a heap of orange juice as well as eating good food once in London and put on 10lbs.

The fight if anything reflects this.

The 10lbs slowed him down, he was really slow vs Frank, the same happened to Ali in the 70`s at times he`d be 5-10lbs heavier than his prime in the 60`s and he was also slower, having said that early 70`s Ali would have toyed with this version of `Spoon.
