How would Frazier and Foreman be considered today if Ali never was exiled?

I'm with you until the last line.

I think losing the title and regaining it means a lot. And not just regaining it but going through a hard fight again and again whilst never losing self-belief.

1 thing is for sure, great rivalries make great fighters... This is what fighters of the last 20 years really lack.

if ali beat frazier and foreman at this time, then the 70s wouldn't be the "golden era" of heavyweights.

some people might say that ali was dominant at a time when the heavyweight division was weak.

it's why i never understood people saying people like louis', hagler's or hopkins' reign was over a weak division. the division wasn't weak, they were just that good!

noone ever says that jordan reigned in a weak nba era.
