    Some interesting picks there.....

You see Frazier surviving the early onslaught against all of Tyson, Liston and Lewis

Prime Frazier, 1967 - 1970 would KO all the above inside 15 rounds. Frazier was a deadly fighter after the fourth round and no other heavyweight in history has fought with the pressure and pace which he set while in his prime.

The only two fighters among this group that I could see giving prime Frazier problems are Lennox Lewis and Sonny Liston.

Lewis and Liston both have the potential to Foremanize Frazier and knock him out early, but that's not happening. Lewis and Liston could definitely have Frazier on the canvas early, but prime Frazier would get up and keep pounding both of them to the body, wearing them down in the process.

Tyson doesn't have the heart or the stamina to stay with Frazier over the course of a 12 or 15 round fight. Tyson, like Lewis and Liston could have Joe in trouble early but again, prime Frazier would get up, go back to work and eventually stop Tyson probably before the 9th or 10th round.

Holyfield is synonimous with endurance and determination, but the man was realistically a heavyweight with a cruiser/lightheavyweight body. Holyfield would put up a tough fight with Frazier and may hurt him with his counterpunching but Joe would eventually take over and knock Holyfield out in the middle to late rounds.

Too much emphasis is placed on what happened in Jamaica against Foreman when analyzing Frazier's career. He was far from his best on that night and Foreman still couldn't keep him on the mat. Who knows what would have happened had Frazier even in the poor condition he was, had made it through the second round. George was seriously out of breath and seemed pretty relieved that Mercante stopped the fight.
I take nothing away from Big George and what he did to Frazier in two fights, but he never fought the same Frazier that Ali said would have whupped every heavyweight in history. I will agree that 1972 - 1973 George Foreman is a tough match for any fighter because he was arguably the hardest puncher in heavyweight history. Still, Joe Frazier gets very little respect on this board and I think any fair comparisons should be used from prime Joe Frazier, 1967 up to the FOTC.

I don't rate Fraizer particularly higher H2H because he's limited and lacks physical attributes aswell in terms of height and reach advantages.

I think he loses to Holmes, Lewis, Liston, Louis, Marciano, Holyfield at least.

Most professional boxers know better than this though. Certainly if you asked Muhammad Ali he would tell you you were way off.

I think Fraizer defintely beats Holmes, Joe would slip many jabs and pound Larry's body. I can't see Larry handling the pressure.

    I lean towards Dempsey.

I favor Frazier fairly firmly- maybe 65/35.

Louis is a close-but-clear favorite for me here.

Very close, would be an epic. Slight edge to Marciano.

This one is pretty much 50/50 for me.

I like Frazier, probably a UD.

    ...Edge to Tyson.

I favor Joe to seize this late.

    Hmmm......

Likewise. I've got him at 3-4-1, (1 NC).

The fact that Lewis can win a series of 2 fights while losing the first just goes to show you how great he is. :yep

Ok, i'll give this one a go. Im not big on Frazier h2h, though im not 'small' on him either! I have the utmost respect for his 'warriorness' BTW.

Dempsey- Frazier CAN win this one, but i do believe Dempsey also can, i'll pick Dempsey as he was the greater of the 2 imo, and i like him! But i dont mind either here, stoppage defo though.

Tunney- Frazier will stop him at some point

Louis- Frazier's coming right at Joe Louis, maybe the greatest finisher ever. Frazier's mongoose type defence wont hold up, and if he KDs Joe, Joe just gets up and wins imo.

Marciano- Marciano imo, what a fight.

Liston- people are gunna always say Liston because of the Foreman fights, i will say Liston, not for that reason, but i dont have Listona heavy fave here.

Holmes- Holmes too great imo, one of the elite, and will win this.

Tyson- Frazier is no prime Mike Tyson imo. The only field in which Frazier holds an edge would be character and hart. But on theit very best day, Tyson will stop him imo, they'll come at each other, and Tyson's better class will show imo.

Holyfield- this is hard for me, if Frazier cant hurt Holyfield, Evander may win. BUT, this is where that edge i mentioned above (that Frazier holds over Tyson) may benefit him greatly, Frazier wont get discouraged by not doing damage the way Tyson did against Evander. And Frazier might just keep pounding out a decision, in this light, i pick Frazier. But i can see the Evander argument here, especially on his best HW day, utilizing good movement and skill.

Lewis- both at their very best, Lewis imo
