    McClellan had no defense. None.

  2. I agree.

Survive the first round and a significant % of the battle was won.

Collins was harder to hit clean and had a better chin than Benn anyway, couldn't see him going over early.

Collins was IMO a more skilled operator than Benn. Whilst he improved a fair bit from the flat out banger he was around the time of the Watson fight he never became the Tommy Hearns kind of boxer puncher, nor was he ever capable of doing it.

What he had in spades was the fight changing power and will to win - like he said in the doco he didn't want to be just another Brit that was a glorious loser against the Americans - this was probably a general statement rather than being specific to McClellan.

This is true, a pub drunk could land on Gerald, if he wasn't hit first.

He certainly wasn't a Herol Graham who could have exhibitions with punters at local working mens clubs with his hands tied together, and donate £50 to charity of he got clocked.

Sure it wasnt Geralds injury that gave Benn the edge in their fight? People seem to forget Benn was losing the fight and his punches didnt even cause the injury.

Benn deserves credit for hanging in there but come on he was fortunate....the same way Chris Byrd got got lucky against Vitali.

Benn's ducking, weaving style was a lot harder to hit than Collins was

Benn dominated the 2nd round and bossed the rest of the fight. Of course it was his punches that damaged Gerald's brain.

McClellan by early stoppage. Eubank should have beaten Collins and stepped in and finished him when he had him going. McClellan would step in with relish

Benn's bob and weave game was underrated.

Collins may have been a little better at mid range though.

There may have been some damage done beforehand to the wiring of Geralds Brain, but there was clearly nothing wrong with him at the start of the fight when he knocked Benn through the ropes, then Benn got up, stated taking the fight to Gerald, made it a dirty, messy war and Gerald slowly and sadly began to turn into a paraplegic.

Im sorry to say it but It was Benn what hurt him and certainly finised him off, and he didnt do that by staying down after going through the ropes, he did it by bullying the bully and outfighting him.

saying he "got lucky" and would of lost 9/10?

I dont think he gets knocked through the ropes 9/10 and getting up from that and turning it around?

give Benn some ****ing credit man

 Oh boy! I want some of what he's having, please. A close to death Gerald was up on the cards clearly in Great Britain against that crowd hurt and dropped him twice. While he was never even hurt. Benn still couldn't beat a 5% Gerald McClellan. You fanboys!

McClellan was ahead on the cards and Benns leaping hook attempt which ended up as a headbutt started the distress on Geralds face with the constant 'blinking'.

His brain was a ticking timebomb imo.

If the injury doesnt happen, Benn loses that fight.

  15. Keeping in mind that the Benn/McClellan fight was clearly an anomaly, I'd expect that McClellan would stop Collins late.
