Thats funny cause most people here agree that stylistically Joan is a nighmare for a puncher like PAC. I honestly dont think Pac can knock this guy out or win a UD.

I think Pac and Izzy are probably the ones that have less of a shot at beating Guzman. They brawl too much and a style like Guzmans is perfect for brawlers. To beat Guzman you have to be a good boxer. Thats why i would pick Rafa, Barrera, and JMM to beat him. Morales depends on if he comes to box or brawl. I think Morales can control the fight with his jab but Guzman is such a clown that he could draw Morales into a brawl and that would give Guzman the advantage. The rest i dont think are very relevant since they would probably be beaten by Guzman.

Fights against legends can go either way, they would be close fights, and guzman will never be outclassed, he would give anyone a good fight.

I would back guzman to beat R Marquez, Valero, Gonzales and Lanares, i think fights against the rest are just too close to call, i would still back guzman though. :D

I disagree with the nightmare stuff. I'm honestly befuddled when someone says that Guzman is a "nightmare" against Pac.. He'd surely give Pac a very tough fight, but no way is he gonna have an easy time against him. Joan Guzman is very skilled and is extremely fast but he has no power in his punches. And when it comes to Pac you need to have, at the very least, good power to beat him. Ask yourself this, why did Morales beat Pac in their first fight? Why did JMM gave Pac everything he could handle in their 2 fights? Simple, its because both had very good power in their fists. Both we're able to back Pac up and make him tentative. As a result, it allowed to them to showcase their skills against him.

I honestly don't see that with Guzman. How is he gonna outbox Pac when he can't hurt him? Margarito-Cotto much? Yeah I honestly see Pac walking through alot of Guzman's punches without much effect like Margarito did to Cotto and landing his own much harder punches. But what about Joan's exceptional defense? Oh I know about Guzzy's defense. IT IS exceptional. BUT it is not textbook defense. It relies heavily on his reflexes, meaning it is pretty much dependant on him being much faster than his opponent.

Not gonna happen with Pac. He is arguably as fast as Guzman(or close to him for those who don't accept it). Trust me, he is gonna land punches of his own but with greater power. That's where Guzzy's chin would be tested, which IMO, is overrated around here. Not to mention that Guzzy tends to lower his guard often and sometimes throws wide looping shots which Pac can time. He also sometimes gets lured into a brawl which is a no-no against Pac. Guzzy gives Pac one of the toughest fights of his life, but I think Pac still beats him in the end by either wearing him down for a late stoppage or, if his chin is not as tough as everyone thinks, a KO in the late rounds, with Pac behind in the scorecards.

As for the rest, Guzman beats everybody except a 50-50 fight against JMM(I'm going for JMM with this one as well) and I think Morales would give him a very tough fight if EM decides to box. He certainly has a chance in beating Guzzy as well.

Guzman has a better chance with the technicians like himself since he has far greater speed than the given choices...he'd be darting in and out and eventually win via UD...he will have problems with elite brawlers tho, because these Brawlers knows how to make the ring smaller for them, they'd be cutting the corners and will eventually land those power punches which i think can reallly do damage to Joan...

At 122 Guzman was absolutely brillant. Talent epitomized and back at that weight he had more sting in his shots.
