yeah i know you just asked this for the sake of discussion. i hope no one will think that this is just taking credit away from jmm aside from me. besides, a win by jmm would reflect greatly on pac and also the other way around until they fight each other again.

If Pac fought J.Diaz he will be labeled shot and exposed already even before the fight.

OK....Diaz was able to dominate space for much of tonight's fight. He dictated the action to the perimeter of the ring and on several occasions forced JMM to fight out of the corners. Pac has become quite exceptional at keeping the fight in the center of the ring and imo he would demonstrate his ability to counter dictate where the action takes place. Against Oscar he managed to throw his left hand lead and turn him. Against David Diaz, never allowed him to get off by continuously throwing punches particularly his right hook and uppercut, (which JMM used successfully tonight) and keep the action in the center. Juan Diaz is obviously stylistically different the the 2 before mentioned however I still see him to be susceptible if he's not able to dictate space.

Diaz cannot not come forward. That's just the way he's built I guess. Pac would have to box him and wear him down before taking the fight to him. Maybe the Pac of a few year back would have come at him no matter what, but this current version is much more disciplined with his attack.

Good of you to humor me, but as you might imagine I'm not receptive to this. Pacquiao has never had to deal with this type of pressure, and the indications have been more on the side of negative where Pacquiao and pressure have met historically. Why even mention Diaz and De La Ethiopia? Yeah, he could turn those two - not like turning Diaz or Hatton now is it? That's leagues harder. I don't see any actual basis for what you're saying, but we'll have this sorted in May. :bbb

How many straight punches did Marquez land again? and look how much combinations he landed that froze Diaz, imagine Pac throwing those combos and straight punches.

Diaz is historically a feather fisted boxer. Diaz is no Pac. Pac would have knocked out Marquez if Diaz were Pac delivering those voluminous punches.

Agreed. JMM would have tasted the canvas if Diaz possessed Pac's power. It was clear the JMM was overwhelmed at times early in the fight do to Diaz's pressure and work rate and had power been accompanied with the pressure then an early stoppage may have been the result.

JMM is one of the greatest ever but Pac would have slaughtered Diaz last night. Diaz is not a counterpuncher, he goes in there with no defense whatsoever. PAc would have laughed at his punches. If JMM wasnt even slightly hurt by Diaz, Pac would not hesitate finishing him. Diaz was wobbled against JMM a couple of times. Pac would have koed him out cold.

You guys have short memories, PAc destroys his opponents, Diaz and DLH has hit PAc with a total of 5 power punches in 18 rounds of boxing while Pac shredded their faces.

Pacs only hindrance is JMM because he plays right into JMMs hands, otherwise, he is pure destruction in that ring.
