I too love Jimmy Thunder From down Under From the Tuesday night fight days, and I understand he recently died, which saddens me greatly. But no, he is not a top ten guy in any era. When he was on the USA network, he was a free-swinging bar-fighter type. His later career was from an era when I was in school and could not follow the fights as closely as I would have liked, and somebody said he got a bit better, but there was no way he could ever become a scientific boxer.

He would be a fun fringe contender, and the Parker match would be made at some point.

In his day he put on a good show, but contender nowadays i think not.

Like many boxers before him, sadly the map of his life was one of rags to modest success and riches. and then back to rags again.

Taken the final 10 count, RIP Thunder.
