Jones would be decapitated. Jones had amazing reflexes and quickness at one time. By the time he got to HW, not so much. Jones was a guy with immense physical gifts (quickness) that never fully embraced the fundamentals. As he lost a step, he became very vulnerable. The reach and power of Wilder would prove too much for Roy.
I think he could potentially win a belt, but he would never be the "man of the division". I am not in favour of the term "champion", unless referring to the "man of the division". Boxing is such a mess of a sport, that several years could pass and we could be no closer to recognising one man as the best. Currently, I don't believe there is a number 1. Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua, Andy Ruiz and Dillian Whyte all need to fight each other. Due to politics and its implications for those with deep pockets, we will never find out. It would indeed be fun to see someone as athletic as Roy Jones Jr fight all of the best in the division. The truth is, he wouldn't even want to do that himself. I think that it would make a huge difference to his success rate as to which order he would fight who in.
Too short. He was also 34 by that time and had been slowing down a bit. Wilder doesn't really have conventional boxing skills so Roy might decision him by landing 1-2 punches a round but unlikely because of Wilders height. It would require a "forward commitment" that leaves Roy open. Joshua too big and strong. Fury too tall and can box. Ruiz he might be able to decision but Ruiz lets more than one shot go at a time so chances are Roy gets caught at some point
