Gene Tunney Vs a peak Jack Johnson, over 15 rounds?

We’d never see the fight, even if they were in the same era, but purely looking at ability, I believe Tunney outboxes him.

Johnson liked getting the better of guys on the outside, using his reach, then tying them up to neutralise their offence.

He wouldn’t be able to get the better of it on the outside, so he’d be forced to press the action, where I don’t think he’d have enough volume or ring closing skills to get work off.

Yes Gene possibly gets a close, tactical decision.
Tunneys mobility And discipline are the type that Johnson could struggle against.
But Jack would land sharp counters , which keep the fight close.
The thing with gene is he rarely made mistakes and Johnson would punish a guy for that.
Maybe not the Ideal opponent for Jack.
