If Jermal can carry his power to MW he will be a problem for anybody. He's fast, has good feet, he's mean as hell, and decent defensively. Not sure how anybody would chalk Jermall as an automatic win for anybody, the dude is beast...assuming he can carry his power up, which isn't a given.

I think they only fought each other once but I can't say so with any great certainty. They definitely didn't meet in the Olympics though. Korobov beat Gaydarbekov in the Russian nationals in 2004 but they decided to send Gaydarbekov instead. Gaydarbekov obviously went onto beat GGG in the 2004 Olympic final. Had they sent Korobov instead he very likely would've met GGG in the final IMO. Korobov lost to GGG's countryman Artayev in the 2008 Olympics. It was the 2003 World Amatuer Championships where they fought each other.

Last week, *******.com first reported that Cameron Dunkin, manager for Matt Korobov (25-1), had approached with an offer for his fighter to face WBA/IBF/IBO/WBC interim middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (34-0) on April 23rd.

Korobov was a star in the amateur boxing system. He beat a lot of top talent in his amateur run - like Daniel Jacobs, Oleksandr Usyk, Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Alfonso Blanco, Jarrod Fletcher, Darren Sutherland, Ismail Syllakh.

The one man he didn't beat in the amateurs was Golovkin, who beat Korobov in the 2003 world amateur championships in Bangkok.

Korobov has long said that he wants to get revenge for the defeat.

And Korobov doesn't mention anything about beating GGG in this interview

Charlo needs to fight some decent MWs to get used to the bigger guys. That fight will happen in 2 years and he has a good chance at beating ggg

I dig that. I like G's style both in and out the ring but I want to see him challenged in all possible ways.
