How would Joe Frazier have done against his contemporaries Ron Lyle, Ken Norton, Ernie Shavers, and the modern day Mike Tyson, Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko?

I feel Lyle would be too powerful for Joe, Ron was great at throwing KO counter punches and even though Frazier was hard to hit on the counter Lyle would throw the same amount of punches he threw against Foreman, Frazier punched hard but not as hard as Lyle, if he didn`t stop Lyle early, sooner or later Ron would tag him, then it would end the way the Foreman fight vs Joe ended, I feel.

The Norton fight would be a war, his cross arm defense wouldn`t be as effective vs Joe because, his punches came from a crouch, shooting upwards so they were hard to read, I pick Joe in that one.

Shavers would stop Joe but would have to come from behind to do so, he may have to get off the floor also, he was a much harder puncher than Joe but was really slow so if they fought around 3x Joe would probably win around one because his defensive skills were far better than that of Shavers who was badly trained and easy to hit.

Tyson was better than all three of the fighters that I mentioned above so should be able to beat Frazier, his accuracy and hand speed would make the difference.

I don`t know about AJ, funny thing is Povetkin his next opponent is like a poor man`s Frazier and also has a devastating hook, after that fight I will be able to answer this question better when it comes to AJ, his reach would be a huge problem for Joe though and he`s more skilled than anyone Joe ever fought except Ali, AJ might win because he punches harder than Ali did, but his chin would not stand up to the type of hook that Frazier decked Ali with and it would be hard for AJ to evade the blow because it`s coming upwards, but AJ always has his right glove protecting his chin from hooks.

Most likely Joe beats all three.

Regarding the "powerful" Lyle, look at little Jerry Quarry backing him up and out-working him all night, and then think of a raging Frazier crashing in on him. Yes, Lyle could drop him, but most likely Joe batters him throughout the fight and either wins by TKO or decision. Lyle KO'd very few big names.

Lyle gave Foreman all he could handle and dropped him, George said his power was awesome and he was the hardest puncher he faced, Joe would be ahead because of the reasons you stated but I don`t think he had Quarry`s chin.

This. Lyle was a great puncher, but he's no Foreman.

First off, Lyle, Norton, & Earnie were NOT Joe 'contemporaries'. All 3 hit prime after Foreman destroyed Joe.
    Let's break it down.
Sooo much of Ron's legacy is propped up by his fight with Foreman.
George was still 'brain dead' at that point and fighting stupid. Lyle was never going to KO George, heck, I thought he was dead when he dropped him like a mill sack. Vince was right, Lyle KO'd very few big names. I'll give you Shavers but had that LH landed mid-round? See: Foreman-Lyle. Eras adjusted slightly, Joe would have been smokin' early; Quarry didn't hit as hard as Frazier and beat Lyle 10-2! Jerry said he was a little nervous going in but after buckling Ron's knees with a LH in the 1st knew he could be had from then on. Wanna compare Joe's LH to Jerry's??
Norton? Nothing in Kenny's arsenal is going to rattle a prime Joe! The jab would land early but IMO the smokin' starts fairly early with Kenny on his back foot.
Shavers? I regard the Quarry fight as an anomaly so I'm not giving Joe a 'walk thru' in this one but...you lay some big shots on Earnie and he could 'crack' a bit. IMO after a couple of brutal rounds, the wind starts to come out of Earnie's sails in route to a stoppage.
Of course, if you want to match the "big 3?" against Joe post San Juan, we...could...discuss further.

A prime Smokin Joe smokes all three, Lyle would last the longest, maybe go the distance in getting a beating but Joe is on a different level

Joe outclasses Lyle and Shavers. Might struggle a bit with Norton, who was a cut above both men in terms of skills.

We never found out, because they never accomplished enough, to oblige him to fight them!

Lyle could take abetter shot than Norton and fought much better against Foreman than Norton did.

Joe demolishes Shaver and Norton, who's records against other punchers are not good (someone had to win their encounter, I guess).

Lyle is a little tougher, but still a win, maybe like the Bonevena fight.

But if Lyle had fought Foreman when George fought Norton Ron would have been laid in a puddle much sooner than he did when he fought the 'stupid' 76 George. IMO Lyle wouldn't even have put him down.

    Norton never beat a puncher.

Lyle and Shavers both dangerous but Joe beats up both.

Lyle was better at knocking guys out with counter punches than Norton was.
